Wordless Wednesday and In Purrsuit of Flavors

Hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus

Across the street from our house.

Some kiddos are gonna have a slip N sliding good time

I thank Das Nelly and Phenny and Canadian Cats FOR HOSTING

Our challenge today is

Fruit Loose and Fancy Free…. so anything with fruits… it can be a jam, a sauce, a cake, ice cream, something spicey or a drink… whatever has fruits inside… even mustard with black berries goes ;O)))

This was a very refreshing side dish especially on a hot night.
Next time I make it I will only use 1/4 cup of vinegar and 1/4 cup of sugar.  Below is the recipe.

  1. That is a yummy sounding recipe!! Gotta try soon!!
I agree with the reduction of the sugar and vinegar! We might even sub in stevia or monk fruit for the sugar. We don't use veg oil,(Its inflammatory), so we'd likely sub in avocado oil...

Hmmm....when can I go shopping for the ingreds we don't have on hand??!

I love a slaw - I'd substitute lime juice for vinegar though...and put celery instead of apple and onions... so basically invent my own! YAM xx

  6. I would like that slaw, but alas the redneck member of the family is a fuddy duddy and will only eat slaw with plain ol mayo in it.

  17. What a cool slide. We bet us pups wouldn't be invited to play on it on account of our nails might puncture it. That salad sounds very tasty too.
