Thank you Brian for hosting
Thank you all for your thoughts about my brother-in-law's
surgery. I am thankful to say the surgery went well.
Text from his wife yesterday morning said he took 2 loops around the hall outside his room.
He will be in the hospital for 7-10 days. He will be using a feeding tube for 6-8 weeks. He has along tedious recovery of 2-3 months.
This is our picture prompt
we too to watch them and to travel in a balloon with our mind is enough LOL
ReplyDeleteLove your poem but love the good news about your brother-in-law's surgery even more. Long road to recovery is made easier with love and understanding and he has plenty of that! The poem is perfect - as much as I've always longed for a balloon adventure, I also like having my two feet planted FIRMLY on the ground..............!
ReplyDeleteLove and Hugs, Pam
Love your poem! The hot-Aire balloons are beautiful but I prefer watching them from the ground. We send your brother-in-law lots and lots of healing vibes.

ReplyDeleteYAY for BiL... and yay for on the ground to stay. I love to fly, but with wings and an engine! (Especially as I just watched a telly-film in which the murder mystery was how a balloon crash landed...) YAM xx
nothing for me in the air or on the sea or under the sea. LOVE the poem and it says how I feel about balloons. Thankful the surgery went well and prayers for that long recovery that he will heal more quickly and it will not be as long as predicted.
ReplyDeletePTL for the brother in law! Yay!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear about your BIL. Continuing to see well wishes to him and his family.
ReplyDeleteGlad the surgery went well. Wonderful news.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the balloons, but I don't want to ride on one. Heights are not my friend. Lovely poem.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Big hug. ♥
That is such good news about your Brother-In-Law and that is a cute poem too. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteI am glad your Brother-in-law is doing well. Cute poem. :) XO
ReplyDeleteVery good news about your BIL. Hearing he made a couple of loops around the hall is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI will be keeping my two feet on the ground, too. I am not crazy about flying in a plane... it would take a lot to get me on a plane again!
c & b......CONTINUED PRAYERS FOR BROTHER /// BIL...... ♥3
ReplyDeleteI am glad your BIL's surgery went well. A hot air balloon is not for me either!

ReplyDeleteFantastic news about your brother in law.
ReplyDeleteWe're glad to hear the operation went well for your BIL. Our mom tells us that she has ridden in a hot air balloon many times. Way back when she first finished college she used to crew for some local balloon pilots and after helping out enough times they would let her take a ride if there was room. Also our grandpa owned and piloted a balloon for a while and she got to ride with him. Her most recent balloon flight was a few years ago when she scattered grandpa's ashes from up high as per his request.
ReplyDeleteWe understand that was a serious surgery for a serious condition, and now know he will have a long road to recovery. As long as that road leads to recovery, it is one worth travelling! Please keep us all informed of his progress. Hmm, do you have fear of heights? I do too, but only in certain circumstances.
