We send this Irish Blessing to you all
May the road rise up to meet you
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
Shamrocks in bloom at Logan's
Saturday March 11, 2023 was the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in
in Raleigh. It was about 45 degrees at the start of the parade. The route is on what we all call 'the wind tunnel'. No matter what time of year the Wendy Wind is always a blowin'. I hope this man's kilt was possible weighted at the hem line?!
Sunday Mother Nature sent us a surprise
Snow and Sleet
This is Madi II aka our gray CR-V
It is just about the same shade of dark Gray as the original Madi.
Snow and sleet in Aberdeen this week too.
ReplyDeleteHere in the land of the kilt, also the windiest nation in Europe, the issue of dealing with powerful gusts is well recognised. A good quality kilt is made of heavy wool, which helps!
Cheers! Gail.

Delete...and the construction of a kilt is such that, with its very, very many pleats, if one part lifts, the rest falls in behind to fill the 'gap'!!! There was snow on Monday outside the Hutch, too - proper big fluffy white stuff. But only for the day. Back to endless rain again, since... YAMxx
oooh snow again? we wonder how long it will happen.. even in july? we love to see diva madison... a happy st. paddy day to all
ReplyDeleteHappy St. Patrick's Day! Thankfully we have avoided snow and sleet, although there was 8" on Dartmoor 5 miles away a couple of weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteHappy St. Paddy's day to y'all. Yuck. Cold and wet. We are suppose to get a hard freeze on Monday.
ReplyDeleteHappy St Patricks Day! If that kilt wasn't waited, there may have been quite a show, LOL! The parade here will be in very cold weather, but since we don't go, it won't be a problem.
ReplyDeleteWe got the same rain and sleet and a wee bit of snow that you did! Love the blooming shamrocks! Happy St Patrick's Day!
ReplyDeleteyou had me laughing at Cat-tish! love that word dear Madi. so are cars named after the cat or the cat after the cars? we got nothing buy sunshine and sunshine. stunning weather. cool s down to 59 at night and 80 in the daytime and the zillions of snowbirds and spring breakers are EVERYWHERE. love the kilt. we have a wind tunnel on the east side of our house. its always blowing throuhg there and dumping dirt in the pool. gives bob lots of work to do
ReplyDelete'tis a glorious st. Patrick day!!
ReplyDeleteHappy St Patrick's Day and St Gertrude's Day! Angel Madi was such a beauty!
ReplyDeleteHappy St. Patrick's Day! We had snow earlier this week but today we are going to have rain all day. It's very soggy in the yard.

ReplyDeleteHappy St. Patrick's Day! I wish the same blessing for you. XO
ReplyDeleteLove that Angel Madi flashback. We've had the luck of the Irish, no snow here. Happy St. Patrick’s Day from all of us!
ReplyDeleteI hope you've had a wonderful St. Patrick's Day. Thank you for joining Feline Friday!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes!
ReplyDeleteThat doesn't look like a Boston Saint Patrick's Day parade where there are many more drunks passed out in the street
ReplyDeleteMom says she also hopes the guy in the kilt had weights in his hem! EEEEK!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Teddy
Things are looking pretty green around your area. We have high winds with snow squalls, sleet, and graupel, and who knows what else! We heard the birdies singing in your video. Despite our insane weather, the birdies are singing here too.
