Thank you to our
Dearest Auntie HiC
I wanted to share a shortened version of my daily, morning affirmations.
Mom asked her students to keep a list of affirmations in their journals.
She helped the kiddos understand & practice the difference between being “confident” and being “cocky”!
Remember: If you don’t believe in yourself, no one else will either.
Nephew Rocky...OMCs Auntie 10000% agrees with every word you said. I am so happy Mom taught her students
the importance of Pawsitive thinking. This lesson learned early is most impawtant to succeed in life.
Auntie would like to add
you are handsome, kind and lovable
Love from your Auntie HiC
Rocky, you are simply awesome. Gail remembers phrases like 'don't get too big for you boots' being the attitude to children's achievement when she was a child. Perhaps thats just a British thing?
ReplyDeleteToodle-oo!
Nobby.
that is super to show the kids the good things and how to become a good peep...
ReplyDeleteYou are also Priceless! LOVE this video, one of my most favorites and I smiled all the way through it.. I needed this when I was a child, i grew up feeling the opposite of all these postives
ReplyDeleteCocky vs confident is definitely something one needs to learn when they are growing up as no one needs cocky, but confident is important.

ReplyDeleteRocky, mate, you are a prince! Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx
Positive self-esteem is so crucial to teach our kids (and ourselves). Not narcissistic ego, but the inner knowledge that one is resilient and can withstand the difficulties of life. Would that we all had that lesson when we were young! Of course, cats don't need affirmations, they innately know they are Perfect as they are! :-)
ReplyDeletelove you Rocky
ReplyDeleteYou rock, Rocky!

Rocky, all of us need to think the same way! And to look in the mirror when we repeat those things.

ReplyDeleteLearning to be confident without cockiness is quite important.
