Thoroughly Poetic #143 and Thankful Thursday the Sweater Quilt

Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy

Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy

With my eyes I spied
a scene from the past.
Out standing in the field
The photographer was outstanding
 in his field.
What a beautiful scene.
Some might have missed an opportunity
because  of the outhouse
The creative editing took skill
The sepia gave it a feel of time gone by.

Thankful Thursday hosted by

All kinds of Thankful to share with you the completed  memory quilt made out of my neighbor Jane's, sister's sweaters.

The hand tied knots are in each corner of the squares and all around the border.  Due to the stretchy squares, I could not quilt the top, thus the hand tying.

I added a purple button to 'tie' (pun intended) everything together.  I am quite fond of accessories on clothes and crafts.

It is 33"x 39"

I thank  MY Bryan for holding it for me

  1. That's a lovely little poem. But let's think of it as a tall thin shed, not an outhouse!
And well done on the 'sweater quilt' (a new concept to me).
    Cheers, Gail.
