Dearest Auntie HiC
It’s been sooooo hot here lately, Mom
is providing the squirrels with a tray of food & ice water daily.
We provide the entertainment!
“Hey Skippy, it’s so hot that corn stalks are making popcorn.” 😹
“Hey Skippy, it’s so hot I’m using Celsius instead of Fahrenheit just to have a lower number.” 😹
“Hey Skippy, it’s so hot I saw a chicken lay an omelet.” 😹
“Hey, Skippy, it’s so hot the trees are whistling for the dogs.” 😹
We’re not sure if he’s amused or appalled! 😹😹
If you’re experiencing hot conditions where you live, take care of yourselves & stay hydrated!
❤️ Kat & Rocky
Dear sweet nephews.
MOL MOL MOL MOL the trees are whistling for the dogs OMCs Aunti is rollin on the floor giggling.
Oh and tell Mom I know the squirrels are happy to be in her ring of love.
Hugs Auntie HiC
Thank you to Ellen came up with first two and Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with last two Thanks Ellen and Lorianne these were fun.
1. My favorite beverage to drink when it is hot out is ice water or strawberry flavored Bubly, no matter the temperature I always have coffee at breakfast.
2. My favorite summer activity is walking very early before the 3H's(hot,hazy humid) arrive and then sitting in the cool house reading.
3. I’m grateful that I have the freedom to think for myself and my independence.
4. If I don’t write down a thought I have after I'm in bed I’ll forget to do it...

ReplyDeleteOh well done the cabaret act!!! And excellent fill ins. YAM xx
You gave us a big bunch of early morning giggles ... thanks!
ReplyDeleteThose were funny jokes and thanks for the smiles!
ReplyDeleteThose were great jokes! I'm not sure about the squirrel being manager though. I have a feeling he'd be too easily distracted instead of promoting your road act. 😁
ReplyDeleteLove the cats and the squirrel. Our squirrels are still picking up bird food that's dropped and getting in the bird baths to take a drink. Not quite as cute as right outside the window. We had four inches of rain last night and no fireworks. Just thunder and lightning but at least it was not man-made. I have to write everything down or I would never remember anything.
ReplyDeleteKat and Rocky, you entertained me! That squirrel is lucky to have found your house. You did Fill-Ins! I hear you on #4. Thankful for your EMWs... fun things and photos come from them. Gonna be HOT today!
ReplyDeleteWhen the cats were young, Mom put a bird feeder outside the window for them to watch birds. They loved it. Now for us, we have rabbits and squirrels that come by often on their own, so we don't need to entice them. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteone coffee in the morning is a must... we just imagine what we would do when we see the squirrel... maybe the same what the dog did in the griswolds movie LOL
ReplyDeleteSay, your show got any stops up our way? Thanks for the laughs! Quite steamy here, too.
ReplyDeleteGood ones, Rocky and Kat! Mom always has a cup of coffee first thing too and during the day, lots of ice water.
ReplyDeleteDearest Cecilia,
ReplyDeleteKat and Rocky seem to enjoy their squirrel visitor on the deck.
Never had any problems with the heat.
Did go to Emory in Hot'Lana on Tuesday and spend the night at hotel, back the next day.
Hugs,
Mariette + Kitties
now that is HOT!!! last night while WWIII was going on in the neighbors yards, for FOUR SOLID HOURS! it was 95 feels like 100 and I was hoping they would have a heatstroke and let me get some sleep... I prefer listening to the reporting from Kat and Rocky.. we love our squirrels to, but they get faucet water just like what I drink. 100 percent water driinker at room temps except in a restaurant and that is ice tea or light lemonade
ReplyDeleteforgot to say, today each of your fill ins I can say ditto and amen!
DeleteThose cats were cracking us up with their heat jokes. We're expecting above normal temps for the next week. It's so good to have AC in our house.

Don't know why your comments go to spam so often but I have learned to look there every day.. Some UK comments go there too even though they are regular blogger to me. Lynn

Beth and the Girls
Those were all funny and the entertainment on the deck is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteBwahaha. Here in Aberdeen we think it might be a good idea to use Fahrenheit not Centigrade so we have a higher number!
ReplyDeleteThose critters are lucky to have so much food. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. Now I want to try strawberry Bubly. XO
ReplyDeleteFun pictures, love your sense of humor. Happy Trails!
ReplyDeleteKat and Rocky really need to take their show on the road:)

I'm loving this post! Delightful conversations that give me a smile for sure :) and I enjoyed your answers at the end. We are of like mind and I am going to try the strawberries in my pitcher of water. I usually put them in a smoothie but this sounds very refreshing. Stay cool my friend and enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteHow kind to entertain the squirrels, dinner, drinks and entertainment. Thank you for linking up with Feline Friday!
ReplyDeleteThat was a fun way to make do with all the heat you are having. Its hot here, too, but not quite at the unbearable stage. Just very humid. And we had a downpour in the late afternoon...that will increase the humid factors. UGH!
ReplyDeleteHere the squirrels are using the volunteer sunflower plants to be able to climb into the bird seed...that is until the dogs chase them off, LOL!!
I enjoyed your fillins!
Oh man, it's hot
ReplyDeleteNever thought about feeding the squirrels. I even forgot to water my hostas and now they are a light yellow and crunchie. Oh well. I really don't need to give the dogs anything else to bark at, ya know? Hoping this heat wave all over the country lifts soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm changing clothes 4 to 6 times a day now after working outside. YES, it's hot.
