On my E(arly) M(orning) W(alk)

The sights I see delight me.

The Sunrise plays peep eye through the trees.

It awakens the sleeping colors in the flowers.

A neighbor and his dog wave good morning from their back porch

(full disclosure neighbor was in his pj's)

Fun side walk art from a child inviting all to sign at the bottom.

If there had been chalk, I would have signed after
Trudi
A dog napping with one eye open. As he waits for his day
to begin

A cat patiently waits and watches ....for what is hiding in plain sight

Just a few of my favorite things that make my
EMW a delight.

  5. These are the things that make our days much more cheerful and pleasant aren't they. I actually haven't been able to go out this week because it's been 95° every day. But when it ends it'll probably end with a nasty streak I bet.

  6. lol - a neighbor in their p.j.'s on the back porch is okay, but not a full grown man or woman in a department store during the middle of the day....

  7. I had to look for that pup!!! Happy is the sidewalk chalk art... I would have loved to sign. Carry some chalk in your pocket, C! I love that you share your EMWs!

  9. Dearest Cecilia,
Such a glimpse of sunrise is magical.
Too bad you did not have any chalk on you as that looked so tempting!
The kitty might 'only' hear some chipmunk in the pine straw—not yet in plain sight.

  19. Such an array of delightful things on your EMW. Maybe you need to carry a piece of chalk in your pocket for the next time you run into some sidewalk art:)

  20. Oh gosh that was a good EMW! You saw and enjoyed the same things I would have AND that I would have taken pictures of.

  21. Jeff and I love our EMW's with three of the dogs, too. We have one neighbor who often is sitting on his porch in his PJ's, but he tries to get into the house before Chia sees him or she goes nuts (she likes him a LOT!). I can't see what the cat is looking for in that pic... And I love the idea of everyone signing their name on the sidewalk! EMW's are great!

  22. Your walks are wonderful. Becca and Mr. Cal and I take one on Sundays and it's always so pretty and so much to see (and Mr. Cal has so much to sniff).
