Madi Sleeps...the rest of the story

Madi is a creature of habit. Every night after supper she always sleeps in one of the dining room
chairs. Well she did until I decided they needed to be replace about 3 weeks ago. She liked it in the chairs because it was dark but she was still near us.
It seems the Diva does NOT LIKE THE new cushions. I don't know if it is the smell or the fact
that they are not broken in. She was forced to find a new place to snooze before bedtime. I don't know why she decided on the love seat. The tv is on, lights are on and there is lots of traffic. As you will see from these pictures, she has found a way to cope with the light and noise.
I was sitting beside her. The flashy box was no where near. I knew if I move she would too. Thankfully her Dad came in the room, gave me the flashy box and the clicking began.
I had several pictures of each pose.

at one point she got up turned around and struck the same pose again...
to keep the light out of her eyes

I think she is peeping at me from under her paw in this one.

She covers her eyes a lot but this was the first time I was able to capture it.
I'm prejudice but isn't this the most precious pose?
Madi makes us smile every day.

  1. We LOVE that pose!!! Scooter(RIP) was famous for it. But mom finds that King does it alot, and sometimes Skeeter, who by the way wants to say thanx for coming to her pawty! She really hopes you had LOTS of fun. She says sorry if she didn't get to talk with you all that much, as she did have a houseful!!!

  2. Our kitties do that a lot too - cover their eyes up. They want to be near us but it is bright so they do it. Sometimes they go under blankets but usually they want to NOT be covered up, unless it is the eyes.

  3. Love pictures of kitties covering their faces when they sleep!

  4. I don't know many cats who are shy! Maybe she just hasn't 'put on her face' yet :)

  5. Madi
Momma took the flashy box out because Ping was totally zonked out and she started flashing...he just lay there totally oblivious to the whole thing. Guys, what can you say?

  6. Yeah, that's cute, but I don't think you should have messed with her favorite cushions in the first place!!

  7. Well MOM!! waht are you doing messing with her sleepin spot??? Once we get things the way we liek them, they arent supposed to be changed, didnt you know that???

Madi, you do look cute sleeping there though.

  8. Hi Madi!

You need to get your mom and dad to sit on those new chairs and get their scent on them, you know the one I'm talking about the scent every human has but is special because it belongs to your mom and dad ,then you can have your napping spot back.

  9. Mom, the nerve of you to change Madi's chairs!!!Diva Madi needs/deserves a sleep mask like this one:

  10. How very cute you look! Those are great photos of you! Sandusky does that a lot!

  11. sure are an adorable kitty kat!!
