Madi: Sometimes I'm just busy thinking and Mom bothers me.....
Note from Mom: the tall chest behind Madi is the one she likes to jump on in the middle of the night. As you can see it has lots of drawers with lots of handles that clink and clank as she would jump up and down. Now you see why she doesn't sleep in our bedroom.
UPDATE On My Papa aka Mom's Dad.
The doctor at UNC said the bump below Papa's eye was going to have to be removed. It is a small area of basal cell skin cancer. The surgery is scheduled for September 15.
Thank you all very much for your concern and kind wishes.

Hi Madi. i know what you mean - mom's can be a bit of a pest sometimes...... but we love em' My mom complains that in the night when i get up, my tags jingle and it bugs her. Keep clanging away!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe will pray for papa that his surgery goes very well! Keep us all posted!!!
Hugs & smoochies! XOXO
Hailey
Madi, quiet thinking is very important to a cat. But I would like to know if you are thinking about clinking and clanking the dresser in the middle of the night?
ReplyDeleteprayers for your Papa.
But Madster, I know what you mean, moms always want to bother us when we are contemplating the universe. MOL! I like that chest, it would make really good night noises. I can't figure out why Mom & Dad get upset when I play with my toys outside their bedroom door in the middle of the night. The ones with the bells are the most fun.
ReplyDeletePurrs,
Cindi Lou
Your dad will be in our thoughts and prayers.
J
Cute post, Madi...Cecilia, we will keep your Dad in our prayers and purr loudly for his quick recovery...kisses and hugs...J, Calle, Halle, Sukki
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update on your Dad - sounds like a good idea to get that removed!
ReplyDeleteMadi, we are so with you, these humans give us no peace at all.....!
The price we pay for being incredibly cute.
As for jumping on the unit through the night that sounds like great fun - the other night Martha decided to play with a squeaky toy at around 3am - they didn't care for that either....!
These humans have a complete lack of imagination.
love
Martha and Bailey xx
Hi Madi and Mom
ReplyDeleteMum worried about you's three now! Glad to hear he having op to take bad thing away. September is going to be a worrying time, our hooman goes in for a hernia (lol) repair on 9th Sept.
Nice line with night time disturbance, it is one way of breaking hoomans out of sleep Madi. Cool!
Hector and Bonny too!
PS: Margaret the CAT came into our garden today and we erm did not chase her at all. Honest!
Hi Madi! Thinking time, huh? I guess I can understand that. For me, it's more sniffing time. Sometimes I have to sit on the back steps and sniff the air very seriously and I just have to tell everyone that I'll be with them shortly. But then cats are a whole different kettle of fish.
ReplyDeleteWe will be keeping paws crossed for your Papa's surgery and that it'll go smooth as silk and that he'll be fine.
lotsa licks, Lola
mum always bothers me right as I am planning my tactics fur dominating da world...then I always loose my train of thought.
ReplyDeleteI haves NO idea why you ain't allowed in da bedroom at night...gives her bottle of vodka and then hers will NEVER know you is climbing and cling clanging.

Madi, never a moment's peace. It's the price a Diva must pay...
ReplyDeleteNote from Mommy: My Dad had similiar surgery a couple of years ago...excellent outcome and recovery. And my Dad is a TERRIBLE patient! I'll add your Dad to my prayers.
Yep! Playing during the night! Yep! Keep it up! hehe. Dad will be just fine after the procedure. Had one here. Little scary at first though! Play on Madi!
ReplyDeleteI love that one itty-bitty tiny towel that Madi is on. Does she stay on that one spot?
ReplyDeleteI have an entire blanket covering my bedspread for Jack as he think the entire california king bed is his. Even if I'm in it. Especially if I'm in it.
I can't believe your mom bothers you like that. Hasn't she ever heard of the saying, "Let sleeping diva cats lie?"
ReplyDeleteWiggles & Wags,
Mayzie
PeeS. Good luck to your Papa!
I still think that Madi does not sleep in the bedroom because her parents snore.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about "Papa". I'll try to stop by more frequently for updates, but it sounds like you won't have one before September. My best!
As for your comment on my post today: tsk tsk. You're afraid of cat poo? What's my mom supposed to say then? And yours???
Twinkie
Madi, sometimes hoomans are just a pain in the hiney, aren't they? I think you just have to grin and bear it, so long as they keep bringing you foods. :o)
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to your papa. You take good care of him!
Madi
ReplyDeleteI know JUST "what" you mean!
Truly!!!!
We are glad that your Papa is going to be OK.But we will keep him in our purrs.

So glad Dad got checked and can get that removed soon!!!
ReplyDeleteThinking of you!
It is annoying to be disturbed when you are deep in thought Madi. We are purring for your Papa to have successful surgery.
ReplyDeleteAnd here I thought it was just my mom that did those things. Tell your mom that if she wasn't hogging the bed and waking you up you wouldn't have to get on the dresser and make noise ;o)
ReplyDeleteWe are keeping your Papa in our prayers.
Snuggles,
Twix
