Happy Sunday..but it is not an Easy Sunday.
I'm sitting here 'cause I hear Mom and Dad using HBO words about
getting rid of destructive pest. I don't think I'm including in that but I've decided to fly under the radar. Recently a Red Headed Woodpecker started rat a tat tatting on our aluminum gutters...
not pictures...'cause he flies way every time Dad runs out of the house cussing him and shaking his fists
AND
Below is a picture of what the carpenter bees are doing to our
newly painted house. Yep those pest are drilling holes in the wood under the roof.
Once they drill the hole they drill sideways too. It is up high where the peeps cannot reach.
There is also a hole up at the very top peak of the eave.
Whenever they see them they squirt them with water.
If we still have a roof by fall we'll have the wood replaced with something they cannot drill through.

HUGS MADI AND MOM
We have cedar siding on our house and sometimes the downy woodpeckers think they can drill holes in our house too. They usually start early in the morning before we have even gotten out of bed so one of us has to jump out of bed open the window and make noise to scare them off. What pests!

So you've taken to the stairs til the pests clear out? Ornery lil critters. We have them, too. Hope your Mom and Dad have more luck gettin rid of them than we do with the hoppers! Thanks fur sharin those plates. We hope you get a chance to get your easy on, this Sunday. ((Hugs)) and smoochies from all of us at Prancer Pie.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with those pesky pests!!!

Hi my sweet kitty pal Madi! Mommy always loves the license plates, her favorite this time is shnook, it reminds her of the movie Goodfellas, which is one of her favorites. I am sorry those nasty pests are bugging you guys. Don't they know THIS IS MADI'S HOUSE AND GO AWAY!

Oh my goodness, the sound of the woodpecker on the gutters must be really annoying. We think the metal might give the birdie a bit of a headache too. Good luck getting rid of all of your pests. Love all of the plates. You've got everyone looking for them now!
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday!
Oh my, those bee's do an awful lot of damage. We hope your pawrents can get rid of them quickly. That woodpecker sounds very naughty too making all that noise. He must be giving himself a headache :)xx
ReplyDeleteWell can I advise that you DO NOT wear your black and yellow striped jumper in case you get accidently mistaken for a bee and get squirted too... hehe! Deccy x
ReplyDeleteDitto Deccy , that is finny. Good luck with the Pesky Pests. Have a happy Sunday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
i know you were shivering in FEAR when the started talking about getting rid of PESTS. MOL BOL ROFL... my friend had a woodpecker that put two big holes in the roof of his house. ours put a hole in my plant hanger. they can be true pest that do damage. my friend bought a big OWL from a garden shop and put it up there and the wood pecker went away, i saw a blogger that did the same thing with the fake owl. OR you could catch a real owl and tie him to your roof. carpenter bees, i have no clue, but maybe they will be afraid of the owl tooooo
ReplyDeleteOH no, hope that woodpecker finds somewhere else to tap!
ReplyDeleteThat woodpecker sounds like he needs a doctor if he is pecking on aluminum gutters. Stupid Woody. There aren't any worms in the gutters.
ReplyDeleteWe have those same bees but they are out in the barn so they are all right so just send yours over here.
Love the plates. I saw one the other day at WalMart and forgot to write it down. Take care.
Those nasty critters! How dare they!
ReplyDeleteDang critters! Thank goodness you are not a critter Madi! hehe Lovin the plates!
ReplyDeleteLovies, Miss Mindy
Uh oh... when the HBO words come out you knows it is a serious thing. You knows, I also lives in the Piedmont, and we gots a woodpecker nearby and never does he shut up. Peckpeckpeck all mornings! Very tiresome, if you asks me. I hopes you get that mean intruder.
ReplyDeleteDon't they know to just let YOU out, and you'll take care of that silly birdie?
ReplyDeleteThe carpenter bees are the attracting the woodpecker. We recently had them and an exterminator quickly got rid of them. He had to use a VERY long ladder.
ReplyDeleteO Catterda! Our home and native cat! True patriot love in all thy kittens command.
ReplyDeleteHappy Catterda Day!!
(pssstttt its CANADA DAY not Catterda Day!)
Oops... we hearded wrong. Happy Catterda Day anyway!!

OMC... Those PESTS need to leave your house... IMMEDIATELY. I wonder if YOUR Dad knows all the "WORDS" that MY DAD does? Maybe they should SHARE their list so they don't wear the INTERESTING words out. hehehehe
ReplyDeleteHey Madi.... guess WHAT??? We did NOT lose one single Kibble while the Powers were gone... THAT is the BESTEST Pawt about having a Generator. THE FRIDGEs and Freezer will stay cold. Yes, we actually DO have TWO refridgerators. LOL LOL Gotta keep all our snacks cool. BaaaWaaaah.
ReplyDeleteOkay Madi, let's have a talk about your bird and bees.... BOL
ReplyDeleteSorry, that's so not funny. I'm pretty sure a woodpecker would cause my asst. to lose what few marbles she has left.
Oh, Madi, that woodpecker has to go - so annoying and just imagine all the dents he is making. And carpenter bees, we hear they are really damaging. Hope you can get them out of there soon.
ReplyDeleteIf we could get a vanity plate, we would modify that one and have GOWOOSPACK:)
Woos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
OMC! We had a woodpecker tapping on our siding...but that was a couple years ago and he hasn't been back, thank cod. It's so annoying! But those bees...that is the worse! Our mom had carpenter ants in the house a long time ago and she had to call an exterminator! We hope your peeps can get them to go someplace else.
ReplyDeleteOH NO! Tell your peeps good luck at getting rid of those bees and the wood pecker. That sounds awful.
ReplyDeleteNora
OMD!
ReplyDeleteThose birdies are beautiful and dangerous!
Take care
Kisses and hugs

Carpenter Bees? We has carpenter ants and we has wasps that does that! Daddy fills the holes in the roof with that spray insulation stuff and they goes away.
ReplyDeleteMe is very happy to be a new friend!

Nellie
