OMCs(Oh my Cows) someone let some purrty snazzy cows loose in our city. When Mom
told me all about the project, I got so excited I I told Mom I was going to turn on my lasers.
Mom has been udderly utterly amazed by the creativity of the artists involved in this project.
The will be on display for about a month then each and every one will be auctioned off to raise money for the UNC Children's Hospital.
This is Ciao Bella Uno
Mom hopes to show you as many as she can find.
Those are great! We have horses like that in my town. But they get put away each year and brought out again in July. They stay until the end of September. I like what your city does better.

Goose
That is pawsome! We can't wait to see more of them. Have a great Thursday, Madi. XOXOXO from your mancat, Prancer Pie.
ReplyDeleteWe can see why you got so excited Madi, that is one cool cow. And what a great cause too. We will be looking forward to seeing more of these bovines.
ReplyDeletePurrs,

They are fantastic aren't they Madi mate? Need photos of you sitting on them though! In Mum's home city there is a fantastic bronze bull statue in the city centre, but it's not nearly as pretty as your cows! Deccy x
ReplyDeleteMadi, that is so cool, we had the same kind of event in Wisconsin when Mommy and Daddy lived there, and Mommy says it was so much fun. Thank you for showing that, it made Mommy smile sooooooo big.
ReplyDeleteLoveys Sasha

Knoxville did that with a bear here a few years ago. It's funs. xoxox
ReplyDeleteWe did the same thing... but with horses.
ReplyDeleteOur favorite one looks like a chocolate candy horse being unwrapped.. it is on the side of one of the best Irish Pubs in the city...
Here are a couple shots mom found on flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jocranfill/5858228629/

That cow is sure a pretty one. Wonder what color milk she gives? ;)
ReplyDeleteVery cool! What talent!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to raise money. So Madi, are you going to have one of those cows in your house. Might be something nice to nap on. Looks like a lot of fun having the cows around. At least get one for the yard. Take care.
ReplyDeletewow, that is one colorful cow. keep those lasers honed and ready just in case she brings one home. if you were here you could see giant 6 foot metal gecko's all over town.
ReplyDeleteIt should be fun for your mom to find and photograph as many as she can. I can't wait to see more.
ReplyDeleteCindy
Wishin' I could have seen it, too. Barking at cows is one of my favorite things. Trudy
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Hope your mom is able to find lots and lots of these gorgeous bovines!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Bronson,Pepper, and Mum
So awesome! Hope you can spot some more around town!
ReplyDeleteIn our city, it was Pigs!!! Big huge pigs painted creatively and artistically like that. They were the pigs of seattle. A few years ago, they sold them off to raise money for the children's hospital or something. I think there were like... 12 pigs alltogether. Now you might find one in the oddest places. I found one in an old time red and white striped barber shop with this giant blue pig to greet customers.
ReplyDeleteMom says they do this in Kansas City at The Plaza. The cows are so unique and colorful and amazingly well decorated. We have had Bunnies too - at Easter time.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that the money raised will go to such a great cause.
Woos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
Brilliant idea - I wonder how they are made.
ReplyDeleteMomma used to live in Chicago, and they had the cows furst, then a few years later they had pieces of furniture! It was really neat to see them all over the city.
ReplyDeleteNeat!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe had a whole school, pod or street full of catfish a while back in Jackson.
Oh, that is sooo cool! Very colorful! Here we have pianos that artist decorate and then they're put around the city and anyone can just sit and play em'. They didn't do it this year thou. Bummer. Maybe next year. I love the cows though!
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby
pees: LOVE the laser eyes!!
I wonder if it gives multi-colored milk!
ReplyDeleteNubbin wiggles,
Oskar
Those are very snazzy cows! The cows in the fields near us don't look pretty like them.

Madi what a rad cow and such a unique way to raise money for the hospital. Like some of the others Mom only thought that these works of art were done with ceramic horses as this was the type she saw in New York when she went to Saratoga.
ReplyDeletePurrs Willow
BOL....This year for the RNC they have done the same thing with dolphins. We don't want to go anywhere near Tampa this week but hopefully we'll get over there to take pictures before all the dolphins disappear.
ReplyDeleteThat's one colorful cow! We can't wait to see more!!
ReplyDeleteThose cows are pawesome!
ReplyDeleteWe had many of them here.... until someone stole one of them! Hmmm.... Viva Mexico!
Kisses and hugs
Lorenza
WOW Madi I like your cow. It was fun chasing down our 100 pigs. I had my picture taken with most of them.
