The Twin Towers that mom took in August 1987..when they took my
human sis to NYC for her 16th birthday!
Never in our wildest dreams did we know what a treasure this picture would become.
We would like to say thank you to all the first responders and our Armed Forces for
all they do to protect us and to the families and friends of those who lost their lives on
9/11...they are never forgotten

They were A W A Y for 4 1/2 hours. The longest A L O N E time I've had

I was purrfectly content to stay home...we don't have a webcam but if we did
this is what you would have seen!!!
September 4th was the day after hurry cane Hermine was dumping tons of rain
on NC. It was a gorgeous day too!!
And every moment they saw lots of pretty things too

So your mom is the AD (assistant driver). Our mom is too. She might say, "Watch out for that bike. This has been an alert courtesy of your assistant driver." Or sometimes, "AD alert to the vehicle on the left." It kinda drives dad nutso butt has been helpful in saving their lives a few times. We are glad they FINALLY came home!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
How could they leave you for ages and ages like that?!
ReplyDeleteWe will not forget.

ReplyDeleteLovely drive, we might do that today... :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like your peeps had a great road trip!!
Mama grew up taking the view of the Twin Towers for granted when she saw them from NJ, we know what you mean when you say that the pictures takes your words away.
We will never forget...
We will never forget 9-11! Even though I wasn't around back then, ghostwriter and Dad are always sad on that day.
ReplyDeleteThe pretty pictures from the road trip look a lot like things around here. On her way to work, ghostwriter passes a water tower and a herd of cows. We've had lots of blue skies and big fluffy clouds too! She would have to skip work and keep driving a little farther to get to see a lake, though.
Our mom says she will never forget what happened on 9/11. It looks like your pawrents had a nice drive while you had a nice snooze.
ReplyDeleteThe peeps in Canada always remember 9/11. It is a sad, sad day.
ReplyDeleteYour Furend in Vancouver,
Louis Dog Armstrong
You are lucky you get a break from your folks, our Mom gets us a babysitter if we are going to be gone longer than 30 minutes.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice day trip your peeps had, Madi.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful little day trip for your parents Madi! Beautiful photos. You look very comfy cozy!!
ReplyDeleteAlso wanted to mention that 9/11 is a day we will never forget. My mom also passed away on 9/11. It is a very emotional day.
ReplyDeleteSirius but I thought you listened to the Non Serious Radio Station Howl at 469.5.
ReplyDeleteSweet William The Scot
