Today we join Two SPOILED CAT
Angel Sammy and Teddy for their poetic pictorial poem.
First of all we wanted to tell Angel Sammy and TeddyButterbean and Mom
thank you for this photo. My mom is a huge fan of hot air balloons from the ground.
When in a gift shop she is drawn to all things cat like, hot air balloons and hummingbirds.
As you will see at the end.....
Up up and away
I love balloons they give me the happies and make
me act like a baboon.
Mylar, rubber or cloth they all tickle my fancy.
They delight my senses as they rise and float.
To spot a hot air balloon sends my eyes skyward
The places and things that one could see make my mind's eye
full of excitement.
If given an chance to float in the sky, I would say no not I.
My spirit is free and ready to fly
My head is not willing and my legs are like jelly.
I must confess this old gal has two fears
One is fire and I am extremely height shy!
So content I will be to gaze up with envy as those graceful balloons are
given flight by fire that makes them soar to heights I don't care for.
This rainbow hot air balloon hang above my tunnels
Mom says it is very authentic it even has weights on it and we love the basket
My hot air balloon wind sock
Today we join
I'm very thankful to be able to report that my blood work to recheck my kidney function was
on January 12, 2018
All of the levels of concern, Creatine and phosphorus are down. My wonderful Vet, Dr. Szabo was very very pleased.
We will continue on as we have been doing with the phosphorus binder and the
SubQ fluids. I don't have to visit Tech Dracula for at least 3 or 4 months.
We are also thankful it is gonna be 60 degrees this weekend...
Video from our snow event on Wednesday.
We had no wind but a huge limb fell just missing our back lantern
Last photos before dark 1/17/18
Most snow we've had in a day in many years.
~5" and still snowing at dark.
We rarely have 5" in an entire year
That's so funny that your human loves balloons but is scared to be in one! Paws up that you got such a good report from the vet, Madi.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your dogtor had good news for you!!! and ballons in the office are a wonderful idea to encourage our imagination... we have a balloon photo from Bev on our wall and it often brings a smile on our faces when we watch it ;O)))
ReplyDeleteAlways good if the news is good from the doctor, I like balloons too but I'm not ever going up in one.
ReplyDeleteMerle.........
Mom has a fear of fire and height too. The balloons are beautiful but she's keeping her feets firmly on solid ground too! Great news from your doctor, Madi!
ReplyDeleteHari OM
ReplyDeleteI'd go up in one - if given the chance! Those shots with the light on the snow are very pretty; it's great to look at, not so great to go and about. So glad to hear the good health news! hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx
Glad you got a good report Madi. Such good news. The pictures of the snow are so pretty. It was pretty here too. You got more than we did. You all have a good day.
ReplyDeleteWe luff that tiny balloon you have. And Madi, so glad you are getting good reports now. That is way too much winter weather for one year.
ReplyDeleteyour yard is picture postcard pretty.. love the photos and happy they are not in my yard. it is 31 here and that is almost a record low.. but we are headed up temps soon and 70's this week end . i did not know mom loves hot air balloons, i like that windsock and your tunnel decoration is so cute.. YAY for good news on blood work
ReplyDeleteGreat poem. Mom is afraid of heights too so she wouldn't fly free in a balloon either. She did go up in one that was tethered once. Your snow photos are super. Best of all is your blood work news! YAY for good reports! Raz is doing the Happy Dance!!
ReplyDeleteHugs, your guy Raz and The Florida Furkids
We love your poem. Our mom has ridden in a hot air balloon many times. She used to crew for a couple of pilots when she was first home from college. Eventually her dad became a hot air balloon pilot and had his own balloon.
ReplyDeleteWe can't believe all the snow you had. If you were a dog Miss Madi you would have loved to zoom around in it.
Hooray for great results on your blood work sweet Madi. Your balloons are really cool. Hey, we had 3 inches of snow here, brrrrrrr humbug!
ReplyDeleteOops, I forgot to say thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
DeleteBrrr that looks cold.
ReplyDeleteBut we need to hear more about Mom acting like a baboon...
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
PS Gail and I are totally thrilled that the blood results came out so well.
Madi you really got lots of snow!! Way more than we've had so far this year that's for sure.....We love the hot air balloon in your office AND the wind sock balloon too. We just love balloons of all kind. Dad has been on a ride in one but Mom not yet. Angel Sammy will forever be tied to hot air balloons we think since it was his last day. I'm very happy that your blood work was good this time around - your Mom and Dad are taking super duper care of you!!! Stay warm dear Madi and thank you and your Mom for that FABULOUS poem!!!

ReplyDeleteThe snow looks gorgeous. Hope those ice implements are handy. MOL! Ballooning is something SHE loves....from the ground..watching. Fear of heights is keeping HER grounded.
ReplyDeleteWhat a very full post!!! First off, we are thrilled with your medical report - awesome!!! And great work, Mom. Second, we are very jealous that you have ALL that snow - how we would love a big snowfall. And as for the hot air balloons, Mom loves to look at them but will never go up in one. And we love them when they go over our yard and the people holler down to say hello to us. In the spring, summer, and fall we see them very often in our area.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
I am so happy that your blood work was good! Great poem too, but I thought you liked heights. XO

ReplyDeletexoxo,
Rosy, Arty & Jakey
they hold a huge hot air balloon light and festival at the local university. It is a lot of fun but there is NO WAY I'd go up inn one of them. I've seen the Wizard of Oz. LOL! Y'all really got a ton of snow! Brrrr! Congratulations on the blood work. XXOO
ReplyDeleteWow! It seems a lot of places are getting snow that don't usually get any. We're used to it here in WNY. My cousin Angus in NC says they don't have the snow plows and salt trucks like we do. You just have to wait for the snow and ice to melt by itself. Hope you all stay warm!
ReplyDeleteOh, and we haven't seen a hot air balloon in a long time!
Glad ya got a good vet report!
ReplyDeleteWe love the rainbow balloon, Madi! How cool! And when all that snow melts this weekend, you might get to go swimming. :D
ReplyDeleteOMD, your balloon is SO PRETTY!!! I loves it! And the SNOW!!!!! I wish I could do snow zoomies in it right nows! I am so jealous!
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby ♥
I like your rainbow balloon. That is one ton of snow for where you live.
ReplyDeleteAnd am thrilled your kidneys bw is stable. You have an excellent Mom who takes such good care of you, Madi.
