Thoroughly Poetic Pictorial Thursday

Today we join Two  SPOILED CAT
Angel Sammy and Teddy for their poetic pictorial poem.

Here is today's photo prompt
We thank Mom Pam for all the effort she puts into finding
these lovely photos for us.

Ohhhh what a fun photo. Mom loves fog, leaves and benches in parks
She had to decided if she could incorporate all in one poem.

The Bench
by Madi and Mom

Nestle just off the path among the technicolor leaves.
it has been sitting here for many a year.
Slightly slanted and low just perfect to sit with ease.
The fog in the background creating a scene of mystery.
If it could talk,it would say "sit a spell.
My job here is to offer relief for weary feet.
Tell me your stories of  happiness and love...give your sorrow and grief to the breeze.
No worries my friend just take a seat."

We thank Aunty Kit for this, we giggled when we saw it.

  1. oh well done... yes... some benches can talk to us and they invite us to take a little rest and a deep breath before we carry on with our daily stuff. We cross our paws that evil Florence will take a rest too, hopefully she sleeps in while having a break...

  6. That's a SUPER poem - just exactly the "flavor" the photo asks for too. That saying from your Auntie Kit is perfect - that's EXACTLY what waiting for a hurricane is like and we are hoping that you all will be SAFE and SECURE and that you will not have any flooding!!

    Love, Teddy and Mom

  12. That is a very true statement about hurricanes. We wish Florence would just decide to do a u-turn and go back to sea.

We loved your poem, you make that bench look very inviting.

  14. What a great poem!

My Florida associate Miss Charlee agrees that waiting (and wondering) about a hurricane is the worst part! Hope everyone will be OK!

  19. The picture and your poem make me want to go sit on that bench. Hoping Florence remembers what she forgot in the middle of the Atlantic and turns around to go find it.
