Thoroughly Thankful and Poetic Thursday

Today we join Two  SPOILED CATS
Angel Sammy and Teddy for their poetic pictorial poem.

Here is our photo challenge

Under the Giant Sequoia TREE
by Cecilia
If that were me, standing under this tree,
in AWE of it's grandeur I would be.
Quietly I'd listen as the gentle breezes
whispered to me thru the leaves.
Inviting me to hear what
My Mind's Eye sees this
Giant Sequoia standing silent and strong.
Biding me to love and care for it
Just as others have done for millions of years.
If that were me, standing under this tree....

My nephew Kat sent an email to me that he would like for me to share on
Thankful Thursday.

Dearest Aunty HiC
I was just sitting here with my favorite catnip toy, thinking about all the sweet comments from your blogger furiends. It makes me happy to know so many peeps, kitties, and pups like me. We are both very
 THANKFUL
and send virtual nose taps and head rubs to all.

and crazy
Pup photo bombed my picture with a very odd request

I replied, yes Kat there are somethings in life we don't share like
Catnip. I know you are thankful Pup did not SHARE
the aromatic coyote poo he rolled in last week!!

Trees teach us so much - if we are prepared to stand under them and listen! Loved your words today. As for Kat and Pup - who couldn't fall head over the other over them??!!! YAM xx

  3. That is a lovely poem about the huge old tree.
Thank Kat for the virtual nose taps and head rubs. Pup, stick to the coyote poo (well maybe not) and leave the nip to Kat!

  5. Oh what stories those very old trees could tell if only we could understand...but they have been around so long and seen so much it has to be mind-boggling! Great poem today - thanks for being our poetry partner every week. We do enjoy hearing "Kat Updates" and I can totally understand his not wanting to share his nanner with Pup - after all, Pup would just slobber all over it and EWWWWW, cats don't exactly love slobber unless it's their own.

    Hugs, Teddy

  9. Amazing photo of the giant tree and nice poem. Pup is very sweet to be willing to share but Kat we wouldn't have asked for any of that coyote poo either...stinky stuff. We understand you not sharing your nip nanner with Pup too if he had been dining on poo. Hugs and nose kisses Chancy and Mags

    1. Sorry we boo booed that should have been rolled in NOT dining on. That would be gross.

  10. We love to see the big trees and wonder what they've seen in all their years.

Kat is pretty cool! I think I would wait for a moment when he's not looking and take that squeaky toy. (Ghostwriter says I'm a squeaky toy fiend.) But on the upside, after I deaqueaked and unstuffed it, the whole house would be covered with nip. (Ghostwriter is giving me the stink eye now.)

    Anyway, have a good Thursday!
