Thoroughly Thankful Poetic Thursday

Today we join Two  SPOILED CATS
Angel Sammy and Teddy for their poetic pictorial poem.
Here is our photo challenge

Summer

A little girl with curls
Running through the field
So gleeful and light footed
Her curls dance as the wind
lifts her kite way up in the sky.
Can you hear her giggling?

Hosted by Brian and his crew

Day one of  short road trip photos

I am very thankful today to tell you
we (2 old codgers were able)  hiked 3.6 miles on Tuesday, July 9,
on one really rocky, steep mountainous trail and one easy trail, at
Hanging Rock State Park and made it down w/o breaking anything.
YES WE are crazy and
about 1/2 through it we realized it.
As you walk to the trail head you are on concrete,
then we saw this sign just as the concrete was ending

I should have turned back here!!

Here is one of my hubby on the move.

This trail is rated moderate in difficulty. YIKES I don't wanna see
strenuous.

I have 114 photos to sort through.

  12. What a great poem - perfect for the photo too as always! As for the hike - you two are totally brave. I prefer a nice, level walk through the woods - uphill climbs are in my distant past. My heart and hips say NO even if my brain says "go ahead and try". So glad you two made it alright and challenged yourselves in that way.

    Hugs, Pam

  14. Funny how these were so easy in our younger years and not so much at our ages now. We do have to keep moving though.
