Today we join Two SPOILED CATS
Angel Sammy and Teddy for their poetic pictorial poem.
Here is our photo challenge
Summer
A little girl with curls
Running through the field
So gleeful and light footed
Her curls dance as the wind
lifts her kite way up in the sky.
Can you hear her giggling?
Hosted by Brian and his crew
Day one of short road trip photos
I am very thankful today to tell you
we (2 old codgers were able) hiked 3.6 miles on Tuesday, July 9,
Here is one of my hubby on the move.

Day one of short road trip photos
I am very thankful today to tell you
we (2 old codgers were able) hiked 3.6 miles on Tuesday, July 9,
on one really rocky, steep mountainous trail and one easy trail, at
Hanging Rock State Park and made it down w/o breaking anything.
YES WE are crazy and
about 1/2 through it we realized it.
As you walk to the trail head you are on concrete,
then we saw this sign just as the concrete was ending
I should have turned back here!!
Here is one of my hubby on the move.
This trail is rated moderate in difficulty. YIKES I don't wanna see
strenuous.
I have 114 photos to sort through.
yes! we sure can hear her... ;O))) ist that true that people even died while walking this trail? wow...
ReplyDeleteWalks are grrrreat aren't they? Gail and I wholehearted approve of your venturesome spirit, and look forward to more pictures. Was there a good view at the highest point?
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!

ReplyDeleteOh... that little poem was rolling along all unpresuming - then that last line caused my smile to turn grinful!!! Lovely.
Well done on that hike. I'd barely have made it to that sign never mind got past it! YAM xx
You did a good job on the poem. Cute photo to go with it.
ReplyDeleteLORDY, that is a scary sign. I'm sure I would have been puffing on that trail.
Sweet poem!! Holy Carp on that hike!
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids
That warning sign would have turned mom around in a hurry! Love the photo and your beautiful summer poem!
ReplyDeleteI can hear her giggling! No way I would have done that trail! You two... I have some admiration for your willingness to take that on! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteWe love your poem and can't wait to see more pictures from your adventure.
ReplyDeleteI love love your poem. I can hear the giggling from here!
ReplyDeleteTerrific poem and yes, we hear her giggles! Good job on the hiking trail you two. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteMy ghostwriter remembers going for hikes in Cook Forest in PA every summer with her family. Good, fun times!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great poem - perfect for the photo too as always! As for the hike - you two are totally brave. I prefer a nice, level walk through the woods - uphill climbs are in my distant past. My heart and hips say NO even if my brain says "go ahead and try". So glad you two made it alright and challenged yourselves in that way.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam
You may be old codgers, but you've got spark and life, and like to conquer new things.
ReplyDeleteFunny how these were so easy in our younger years and not so much at our ages now. We do have to keep moving though.
ReplyDeleteYes I can hear her giggling.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday, my friend. Big hug. ♥

I would have heeded the sign. But congratulations to both of you. (I find coming down much worse than going up.)
ReplyDeleteThat is a cute poem. You are braver than me. My joints wouldn't let me do that now.
ReplyDeleteVery sweet poem. Kuddos to you and your buggy. I could never do that. XO
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm impressed. I couldn't do that.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on that hike!!! Mom says she and Dad would have turned around when they saw that sign.
ReplyDeleteYour poem is very sweet - brings back memories of her days as a child to Mom.
