Today we join Two SPOILED CATS
Angel Sammy and Teddy for their poetic pictorial poem.
Here is our photo challenge
All aboard
by Cecilia
When the conductor opened the door,
He saw faces galore
To himself he said....
somebody is gonna be sitting on the
FLOOR

This is a 21st wedding anniversary (August 15th) present for
my favorite daughter and favorite SIL.
I ordered a package of 42-10" pre-cut squares from Missouri Star Quilting company
the fabric pattern is Autumn Harvest
I gave the lovely sqs. a boost with fabric I purchased for the orange dividers between rows and pumpkin fabric for the back.
The pale green triangles are called Prairie Points.
I use a simple straight stitch with gold thread to accent stems on the leaves
and a leaf pattern stitch on the borders.
I have enough sqs. for several more projects too.

Love the Autumn Harvest quilt. As for that photo, I fear the passengers will be squashed like sardines with no room even to sit on the floor... When I see pictures like that, I don't miss living in London!
ReplyDeleteCheers! Gail.
yes... that happens a lot... and we had 87 train rides sitting on the floor or somewhere but they were funny anyway...we love the fabulous fall present you made and we wish a happy anniversary!!!

ReplyDeleteUgh, I think your poem captures that scene's promise perfectly! The quilt is gorgeous, Miss C... you might have to do a 'macro' shot though, so we can better appreciate the actual quilting stitch! YAM xx
What a lovely quilt!

ReplyDeleteThat's wonderfully pretty and Happy Anniversary from all of us here!
ReplyDeleteThat is one good looking quilt. Well done. Sure wouldn't want to be in that crowd. One would be squished in skinny minute.Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteThat is a perfect poem for that picture. We love your quilt too of course. Happy Anniversary to your daughter and SIL.
ReplyDeleteThat looks really nice! Ghostwriter says she used to sew a lot, but doesn't anymore. But sometimes she still visits the local JoAnn Fabrics store just to see what's new.
ReplyDeleteMOL great poem. Beautiful quilt too!

Oh Cecilia that quilt is absolutely GORGEOUS. I love the material you used and the little "pale blue insets" and borders AND the back too. You are quite the quilter! I know you're having fun learning all the tricks of the quilting trade - it's truly ART with material. Well done. We also love your poem - isn't that photo SCARY?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam (and Teddy)
I am glad that I don't have to endure crowds like this; I'm getting all sweaty just thinking about it.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine having to traverse this every day to get to work and back home. Many do though. Awful.
