As promised yesterday, here are photos of a gorgeous sunrise taken last week

For those of you not fortunate enough to live in a city full of Pollen, today
Nature Friday is starring Polly Pollen.
This is just one pine tree. Raleigh if full of Pine trees. The pollen pods burst open like confetti
this time of year
I bought 2 new garden flags
The hummingbird flag (on the left) is located in the backyard right in front of the
shaft where I hang the hummingbird feeder.
The cardinal and sunflower flag is in the front.
We have several locations all around the front and back yard
with daffodils. Earliest ones opened in February
The daffies in the front opened about 10 days ago.
BREAKING HUMMINGBIRD NEWS:
2020
On March 31, at 4:50 PM I had my first male hummingbird sighting!!
AND he was only 1 hour later than my first sighting at 3:40 PM
March 31, 2019!!

we love the flags...they fir so great to the isolympigs badge ;O) and we love that sunset... such pictures will bring a good day ;O)

ReplyDeleteWe are lucky that we don't get much pollen from trees here. Most of it comes from grass and crops.

ReplyDeleteWe love the flags, but Gail is happy that Polly Pollen has not yet arrived in Aberdeen. (Relatively late in life, in the last few years she has started to suffer, mildly, from hay fever).
I, Bertie, am hugely excited at the prospect of the ISO-lympics, and love Sweet Williams's beautifully designed banner. I have of course have been in intensive training all week.

We were a city filled with pollen and catkins from Florida Oaks but we made it through the worst of it! Pine trees throw that pollen like they think we can't wait to have it!!! The sunrise pictures are beautiful!

Unfortunately, Polly Pollen has been visiting here too. Mom keeps getting messages on her phone that the count is super high.

What a beautiful sunrise! We love your flags and the daffies that surround them. Our first hummingbird sighting around here is around the 5th of May so your little guy has a long way to travel in just one month. We can't wait to see our hummers too.

ReplyDeleteI love the shots and I love hummingbirds. We have them year around and this winter we had more than ever and then they went away again. We always have a few that live here all the time.

ReplyDeleteOH yes I know ALL about the pollen from the pine trees! In addition I have oaks so I get a lot of yellow dust all over everything and those little beads of pollen that form and make a huge mess! Beautiful sunrise!

ReplyDeleteYep, our vehicles are often covered with a yellow coating. Nowadays, though, we don't even want anyone to see us sneeze or blow our noses (allergies). The sunrise is lovely.
