Symmetry Saturday: Bridge over I440

One of the many trails on the NC Museum of Art Campus leads to this
Bridge.  Reedy Creek and Rocky Branch Trails are on the other side of the bridge

I440 is getting a huge addition

This part of the trail was.....uphill going over
and thankfully not 'slippery or wet' on our downhill

  3. Dad says this reminds him of the bridge over 40 in Chapel Hill near the mall where he and mom used to walk. Dad's starting his 2 week stretch at home today so he and mom will most likely be doing their fair share of walking in the coming days. We're a little far for walking downtown which they love doing, but it's probably just as well since there'd likely be too many people out and about anyway.

  6. I have driven under several of these bridges but never walked over one or seen one from this view. it's really pretty. I did eat in a restaurant in PA on the Interstate, it was built out over the road like this

  10. That looks like it was another fine walk. Sometimes our trails get covered with muddy silt when the brooks overflow. Then they are more slippery than ice. Mom won't even attempt to walk through it. She just turns around and goes back the way she came.

  11. Oh what a beautifully constructed bridge! All those nice straight lines and perfect angles......and the walk through the wooded areas - beautiful! You have a lot of nice spots to hike around. A lot of the parks are closed around here but I hear they may open again soon. People are being very good here about social distancing so I think that will be the case at our parks too.
