On October 6, 2020 Madi 2 took us a few miles down the road
Madi 2 is 100% the same shade of gray as Angel Madi's lush lovely furs.
Madi's gray often looked black (below photo a prime example.. it was due to My poor photography skills) but she was Gray and White. Every single morning she greeted us with
her high flying fluffy ? mark kitty tail...just like this. She would always pause for me to hold her
tail as is passed through my hand.
We made some new discoveries on this trek
Could this be the southern portion of the Alaska pipe line?
This lovely trail is smack in the middle of a very busy section of North Raleigh.
Once you get on the trail the peace and tranquility block out any traffic sounds
I am not sure what this is but it is RED so you know I took a photo
There are homes much like this all along the trail too.
As you trek, views of Shelley Lake are all around you
I love the reflections of nature on the lake
Last week was the first week in several months we have been able to walk outside
every day. The weather was perfect. We are very happy to have such a beautiful
trail a few miles from home. It was a magical week seeing the mist rising off
the lake Monday and the Deer and Fawn on Wednesday.
Keep on Trekking.
BONUS Nature all the way from N. Ogden, UtaH

we love this place!!! and we are sad for the "wall art" we can find everywhere... hands of fools ruin walls and stools

ReplyDeleteSimply gorgeous... YAM xx
Gail and I love seeing your local trails - it makes us feel we know that place where you live just a little bit better. We are wondering what you would consider an acceptable temperature range for outdoor walks?
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
Bertie (shortly off for a walk with Gail and her neighbours Yvonne and Kirsty, current temp. an acceptable 50ºF, light winds).
Shelley Lake is sure pretty and we love that tunnel. Bummer about the graffiti. As mom would say - look with your eyes and keep your hands in your pockets!
ReplyDeleteI hate people who deface things.
ReplyDeleteI think that is red honeysuckle.
Beautiful place to take a walk
Awesome sunsets.
What a great place to take a walk. That sunset from Murphy and Stanley is amazing.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos but the photo of Madi is our favorite!!
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids
Madi 2 is very pretty but not quite as nice as Madi 1's lovely furs! Your nature walk looks very nice.
ReplyDeleteWow! What a beautiful area to take a walk in! We enjoyed seeing Maddie again with her fluffy tail! Hope you have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very pretty area, well, except for all of the gang logos in the tunnel. Hey, Seal has a ? tail too!
ReplyDeletethis photo shows how gray Madi was, and Madi 2 is beautiful as she was... i would love to wander down that trail, and yay for close to home. we have one similar at Bray park, it's been a while since i walked it. ours is in the middle of town and also has houses seen through the woods
ReplyDeleteYikes on the graffiti. We have a lot here, but we have gangs all over the place.
ReplyDeleteLove the sky shots. Gods finger painting. Beautiful.
Have a fabulous day and weekend, my friend. Big hug. ♥
Madi was such a beautiful sweet girl♥ Shelley Lake is a gift! You both are enjoying it so much. You have some beautiful soothing pictures today.
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL photos! Oh my they took my breath away! And for those folks who think the tunnel is a great place to scribble on : Foolish names and foolish faces are often found in foolish places. Have a lovely day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautful post C! We loved every single picture of your walk in North Raleigh, of Madi's beautiful tail and the sunsets in Utah sure have been beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe best place for a park, is smack dab in the middle of stuff!
ReplyDeleteAngel Madi, look at you with your tailio in the air!
That looks like a lovely place for a walk. It is a woods, but different from the ones we walk in.
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful scenery.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots and I love seeing Angel Madi. Xo
ReplyDeleteNice trekking and beautiful photos!!!
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
I might not go down that tunnel. I have seen too many horror movies.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful place for walking indeed! Not sure what that red flower is but might be trumpet vine all over another shrub. It's pretty and red so whatever it is gets points for RED! Love seeing Angel Madi - such a good friend and lovely lady.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam and Teddy too
The park is lovely. The tunnel is a fun discovery,
ReplyDeleteWe loved seeing Madi and so neat that you have Madi II to remind you of her. Dad so misses nature walks
ReplyDeleteI love being out in nature...so much better than a mall. Your pictures are beautiful, as was Madi.
