I must use my words here the Cormorants are standing on pilings in the water;
however the reflection in the water looks like they are on the tree limbs
Christmas Eve 2020 we had 1.9" of rain
That is not fog in the distance it is sheets of rain.
that is amazing what effects water and light can create!!! we have currently too much water, we hope we will not end like that birds LOL
ReplyDeleteThe photo of the cormorants is a winner either way.
ReplyDeleteThe photo with the reflections is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI had to look several times at those cormorants before my eyes connected with what you had written.

Those are two great mood shots. Your second photo just calls to me. I think it's the lamp post and the small trees. The reflection photo is magical.

ReplyDeleteOMW - Miss C - that is a truly gorgeous image of the birds and reflections... and the one of the rain is pretty worthy too!!! YAM xx

The reflection really is amazing! Dang, that's a lot of yucky rain.
ReplyDeleteThanks again for the barn owl photo!
ReplyDeleteLast night, I answered a Jeopardy! question, What is a cormorant? because of your posts! The Hubby was impressed, and none of the contestants got it right.
I also answered the Final Jeopardy! question correctly: Thomas Jefferson. I'll miss Alex Trebek, but look forward to the new host, whomever that will be.
It looks like those pilings are floating in the sky. What a cool picture of the cormorants.
ReplyDeleteGood picture. You made those birds climb into the trees.
ReplyDeleteThe weather guessers said we were barely getting any rain one night last week. How they could not have been more wrong amazed me. It flooded. I mean buckets and buckets for a very long time.
the sheets or rain is really quite amazing. I love it we needs a few sheets of it down here..
ReplyDeleteThe cormorants do look like they're on tree limbs! Boy, that rain is really coming down!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots of the birds and the rain.

ReplyDeleteBeaiutiful shots. We had about that much rain Christmas eve too. XO
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful captures!! I was really fooled by the cormorants...I thought they were on the branches!!
ReplyDeleteLovely. We had so much rain on Christmas Day too, about the same amount. Today it is expected we will get about 3 inches of snow.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing reflection shot!!! Well done.

Now that's a picture to be proud of! Christmas day was the coldest day of the year hear in Chattanooga.
ReplyDeleteAmazing amazing photo! Have a lovely albeit wet evening and a Happier New Year! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteThat is a mind-bending photo! I could have sworn that the birds were in the tree branches! Happy New Year to you!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures
ReplyDeleteThose burdies are just beautifuls! You knows they don't have oil on their feathers like most water burdies, so they have to 'dry off' on those pillar thingies! don't knows why I knew that.....
ReplyDeleteAnyhu that's a LOT of rain! I hopes you've dried out some since then!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
Happy Mew Year!
