Sunday Selfies: Cody and Maggie

Last week I took a walk around our neighborhood.

Cody was in his usual spot.  I approached him from behind.  As soon as I leaned down to pet him he stood up.  Toby is 14, such a precious furry friend always happy to say howdy. I tried to convince him not go get up but he is such a gentlepup.

I met a new friend, Maggie a 1 year old Golden Retriever/Doodle mix, and her Mom Debbie. Mom told me they live in the neighborhood behind us.  All the streets are cul-de-sacs not very good for walking. She said she had met so many nice people in our 'hood. This photo was taken from my driveway. Thankfully,gMaggie stopped to read some pee mail. We introduced ourselves.  I told Maggie I was very envious of her red furs.  She gave me a signature golden smile.

  1. We can see that Cody is a true gentlepup. Always stand up for a lady. He reminds Gail of her father, who when out and about on a walk would never fail to touch his cap politely to greet any passing lady.
And how nice to meet Maggie and her mom. We hope it's not racist to say that Maggie is a beautiful colour...

  12. Mom always says that the BIG dogs are gentle giants, just like Lightning. Our neighborhood is filled with cul-de-sacs too, but you would be surprised at how many peeps go up and down every one of them.

  15. Hi Cody! Hi Maggie! It's good to get the "extended local" news, isn't it, Maggie? We're always curious and want to read the headlines too.
