During our recent trip to the hills of North Carolina we saw all these picnic tables in a parking lot on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
They are made of concrete and metal. I cannot imagine how many trips up the parkway were made to move this monsters. We guessed that maybe their original homes were scattered about the parkway. Maybe due to COVID they were all moved to this parking lot to discourage too gatherings.

ReplyDeleteI think that is exactly why they got 'parked'... but what a fabulous symmetry opportunity and you took it from both angles!!! YAM xx
That is symmetry! I wonder when they will be moved to be useful again. They look very nice and I'm thinking the average person would have some trouble sticking one of them in the back of their truck and taking it home! Good Morning!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots but I hope they will all be put back where they belong!
ReplyDeletethis is kind of a mind boggler. now i am wondering why they are there and if they will put them back where they came from, or are they new and going to be spread out? i bet they way a ton
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of picnic tables. :) XO
ReplyDeleteAm sure you guessed correctly, trust they'll move back to their proper picnic spots soon as we all slowly return to the days of hiking, biking and enjoying hot dogs on the grill! And all along the Blue Ridge are so many places to do so.
ReplyDeleteYogi and Boo Boo are probably wondering where all the picnic baskets and tables went!
ReplyDeleteWe hope those tables can get put back where they belong soon.
ReplyDeleteI think you are probably right as to why they are there. They do look very regimented.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of heavy tables to put back where they belong.
ReplyDeleteOh I bet you're right about why the tables were moved....either that or it's an ancient Picnic Table Burial Ground!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam
That is quite a unique angle
ReplyDeleteWlow! Now that is not a photo that you will get to take after Covid is over! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI bet they are heavy.
ReplyDeleteThat doesn't make any sense, especially if there was only one table in each location. It would have been people already hiking together. How strange.
