Mom bought a new mower! She already had a battery operated Greenworks, but she got a self-propelled mower.
Mom & Dad do all the yard work around here, and after her recent back issues, she had to find an easier way to mow. She says the hills are butt-busters, and the John Deere is too heavy for front yard.

Mom thinks she should have named me Semper Fi, which would have been appropriate since Mom’s a USMC Brat!

OH MY DOGS Pup Mom has a little lean green machine to take care of business and best of all it isn't scary and loud like traditional mowers!! Mom being a USMC brat makes you a USMC grandbrat!!! BOL BOL BOL Auntie is the wife of USMC-former reservist. We 3 should start a club!! BUTT all this being said I am most happy that Mom will no longer have a Pain in her USMC brat tushie ever again!

ReplyDeletewe love the lawn mower... we have only one what works with duct tape (nosurpise lol) . and we also love the name semper fidelis for a dog... but sadly none of the breeders had this wonderful idea as we had the s-year...

ReplyDeleteWe ha..ve a new neighbor about a block away, both trucks have USMC license plates on them and they hung a 6 foot by 2 foot sign on the front of their home that says Semper Fi. I think they might be marine brats. Have not seen any people just new stuff in front yard and on the wall. this should be good for the back, it looks so easy..I am still walking at age 77 and I think it is because I loved cutting the grass. all my life. someting about watching it get smooth and pretty. when my boys were teens my neighbor used to fuss at me about cutting the grass and believed I should make them do it. I loved doing it. my close friends from highschool, none of them can walk now and none ever cut the grass. just sayin
ReplyDeleteOh boy that will REALLY make mowing easy!! I hop on my lawn tractor and while it's easy too it takes a toll on my back......I need a seatbelt probably - I use a lot of back muscles trying to stay upright on hills and turns!!

ReplyDeleteSelf propelled is the only way to go. It's hard enough with a self propelled when your on hills. Just saying. Reminds me of our Angel Little Bit. She would watch hubby doing the yard work exactly the same.

That looks like a nice little mower. Our mom cuts our grass on a big orange (Kabota) tractor. Her butt only hurts because she gets bounced around a lot on it. BOL!

ReplyDeleteOur honda mower is self-propelled too. We always watch out the front windows to be sure it doesn't back up and eat her, especially on the steepest part of the hill out front. So far, so good. She always wears her poopy kicking boots with big treads, BOL! XOX Xena, Lucy and Chia PeeEss, congrat on your new mower it seems even better than ours!

ReplyDeleteMom LOVES her self propelled mower. She does have a lawn tractor, but she prefers the push mower. And we gotta say, with all the heat we have been having in the summers lately and the watering restrictions, the weeds have taken over. Some of our neighbors have gone to gravel but we are thinking of letting the backyard become a meadow so we can encourage the insects and the small animals. Us cats think that would be purrfect!
