Thankful and Thoroughly Poetic Thursday #71

Thank you Brian for hosting

Today I am very thankful Angel Madi and I knew Jean, her angel kitties and Shoko and Tyebe.  I was very sorry to learn earlier this week that Jean had suffered a stroke. Jean worked lovingly to create the Crotchety Cougars. She gave our old girls a new lease on life with fun trips and even a cruise. They all had more fun than any felines should ever have. In fact, Angel Madi had a bigger social life than I did. I'll part by expressing my thoughts of Jean with the letters of her name,

Enjoyed new recipes.

Always made me smile with her words

Never will I forget her kindness to all

With healing thoughts and prayers

Angel Sammy and Teddy find such inspiring photos for us

Here is today's inspiration

This little one is a Diva in training.
Playing dress up in Mom's
Ruffles, frills and heels.
She squeals in delight
as she holds Mom's hand tight.

  1. That diva in training just made my morning!!!!
Hope your friend, Jean, recovers fully!!

  2. We wish Jean our very best. We loved her recipes too. Love that photo and your poem!

  3. Hari OM
LOL... and all I could think is how those young bones would be getting deformed so early! Lovely tribute to Jean. YAM xx

  4. Health is the one thing that you can't really change. One needs to be thankful for every healthy day you have as it can all change in an instant and there is often nothing you can do about it.

  5. I hope she will recover from that stroke. Prayers for Jean. Love those chubby legs in the blue heels. Good job on the poem.

  6. Such a sweet picture and poem to go with it! Prayers for Jean and for Bill who, we're sure, is holding the household together.

  7. I have never been a girly girl, but I did love to walk around in mothers shoes and wear her hats and gloves and carry her purses. I can see her purse from when I was about 3 years old, 1947, black and white tile squares, it was a clutch bag with zippered top. isn't it crazy what a photo can make us remember. did you notice the heels are AQUA?

  8. I'll miss Jean too. So many wonderful folks that left hand prints/paw prints on our hearts.

Love the poem. Little ones love dress up.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday, my friend. Big hugs. ♥

  9. I didn't know this sweet family, but I am adding her to my prayer list. XX

  10. We didn't know Jean but it's sad whenever we lose a blogging friend. Our paws are crossed for her and her family. That is a cute poem for that adorable picture.

  11. What a sweet poem for "Little Miss Priss" !! Bravo! We all are so sad about "our" Jean. She was a fabulous and fun blogger and we can only hope she will recover enough to be back with us again one day.

    Hugs, Pam

  12. Google is doing strange things again ~

Lovely tribute to Jean ~ didn't know her but you and your kitties have had a treasure for a friend ~ Xo

  13. I didn't know Jean but my heart and prayers are with her with big hopes of recovery from the stroke. Cute poem, C! I like the last line :)

    1. Ditto on strange things that Google is doing.

  14. I was very sad to hear about Jean too. I hope she makes a good recovery.

  15. We're very sad about Jean too, we miss her imagination and her love and talent. We hope she heals completely. Cute poem too. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

  16. I was sorry to hear about Jean too...Although, didn't know her, I know how much joy she brought to so many. I also hope she recovers completely.
