Wackiness on Wordless Wednesday

Thanks to our

Hostess Sandee at Comedy Plus

Monday, August 15, MadSnapper posted a 'funny' chain of events that resulted in a NON LIFE THREATENING injury.
She asked for sympathy...and I left this comment:

OH MS you made me giggle...I'm so sorry but I'm with you I can have the oddest accidents. A week or so ago while preparing to take my shower.  I was in the master closet (where the hamper is located).  In hindsight,  I was too close to the door frame, when I took off one of my ankle socks. My hand went rogue flew toward the door frame. My index finger slammed into the frame at Mach speed. It hit right smack on my knuckle and good googly gook it bled. I had to keep a band aid on it for about a week due to the location and it being my right hand. Every movement I made opened up the cut

To which she replied
If I had been drinking something, I would have spewed it out. this made me burst into laughter. gone rogue! and good googly gook it bled had me roaring. what is up with our body parts that they go rogue?

BOL LOL MOL so glad you enjoyed it. It was a crazy thing. Never in all my years of taking off socks or hose or shoes have I ever done anything like this.  My only explanation was the ankle socks were fitted.  When I stuck my thumb into the edge to pull it off, I pulled so hard that my thumb slipped out and my hand when rogue.

So friends, there you have wackiness it in the life and times of MadSnapper and My Mind's Eye.  We both are firm believers in not taking ourselves too seriously.

  1. I love "good googly gook". Is that a Southern expression or just a Cecilia expression?!
Hope the wound is fully healed now.
    Cheers, Gail.

    1. I am from the deep south and have never heard this one before, me thinks it is a Cecilia expression. Southerners in USA are well known for using Other Words instead of cursing. I hope I can remember it because it is hilarious and fits perfectly

  2. we love that phrase a lot... it describes what happened the best way... we send potp for the finger and we hope for a good healing... (the mama hurt her finger while cutting our meat, opened the drawer to get a band aid and while closing it, she pinched the same finger in the drawer... uh maaaan)

OUch! Yeah, I know about rogue appendages too... nothing recent, but that means something's due!!! YAM xx

  4. so glad you published this, the whole chain of events is just toooo funny and I got a kick out of the comments so far

  5. Oh dear! We've never heard of body parts "going rogue" but it does sound a bit scary. We're glad to hear your finger is healing well.

  6. I would never have made it to "almost 75" had I taken myself seriously EVER! :)

    Hugs, Pam

  7. My body parts go rogue every single day! I always say aloud with as much sarcasam as I can muster "THANK YOU"!!! And that is heard throughout the land every day at any hour!!!

  8. Thank you for the morning smiles, girls☺

  9. Bwahahahahahaha. How fun.

Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
