I met a new friend on one of my early morning treks...
Box turtles are official state reptiles of four U.S. states. North Carolina and Tennessee honor the eastern box turtle.[24][25][26] Missouri names the three-toed box turtle.[27] Kansas honors the ornate box turtle.[28][29
SHE, Roxy and Dui sent me this video of their resident feline,
Naoise, playing feline ping pong in the tub
we are with you.... we still can not believe that she is gone.... we thought she is immortal somehow ... sigh...
ReplyDeleteGail says: Here in the UK we are waking up to the unfamiliar thought of have King Charles as our Head of State. The Queen has been one constant throughout my life and at a time when much in the UK is unsettled, her steady presence will be much missed.

ReplyDeleteThank you Miss C... there's a kind of a hush over the Hutch and it's town this morning which we think is a symptom of the shock if yesterday's news. What a fun we video to brighten things up - and gotta love a turtle! YAM xx
I only knew of one queen my entire life... Elizabeth II. She will be sorely missed world wide
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine anyone being more loved than the queen. She was a beautiful lady! I don't see hardly any box turtles here - only the painters because of so many ponds.
ReplyDeleteI use to love playing with my cats. The silly ones I have now don't play.
ReplyDeletethanks for the SMILE of the day with the cat video. so precious and fun to watch. I was sad to see the Queen has died. She was a lovely lady. when I lived in GA we had box turtles every where, my kids had them off and on for years when growing up
ReplyDeleteSad news on the passing of the queen. She will be missed.
ReplyDeleteLove the turtles and love that video. Watching cats play is most entertaining.
Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. Big hug. ♥
The Queen will be hugely missed. She was the only monarch of my lifetime* and was a wonderful lady who never wavered in her duty to the country. Although we knew it had to come it feels unreal.
ReplyDelete*Her father died when I was a few months old so I have no recollections of him.
Very sad about the Queen. She truly will be missed.
ReplyDeleteWe have all kinds of turtles in Missouri. I miss them. On The Tiny Ten we were always picking them up and getting them across our rural road to the other side... always where they were headed.
Such a great turtle shot C, a wonderful find!
ReplyDeleteThe passing of the Queen is the end of an era for sure!
Graceful and a Lady are such good descriptors, she will always be the Queen of Hearts. Love the tub hockey, that's so much fun!
ReplyDeleteAlthough because of her age we were not surprised, Queen Elizabeth's passing is still a bit of a jolt. We imagine that feeling is more so with our friends across the pond. Love the cat video. That's a smart place to play with a ball since it can't roll under anything and hide.
ReplyDeleteThe Queen was a very special lady.
ReplyDeleteWe were very sad to hear about the Queen.
ReplyDeleteVery sad about the Queen, but she had a long life. Cute video. XO
