Thoroughly Poetic Thursday #92

Today is Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy

at Two Spoiled Cats

Today's photo prompt is

When we were young and spry,
through the tulips we tiptoed with **Tiny Tim.
Now that we are old we try
to keep our feet flat on the ground.
We hold on to each other,
balance with our umbrellas or canes
when traipsing thru the rain.

  1. Love the poem. Well done to all those who are no longer 'young and spry' but go out walking in the rain regardless!
    Cheers, Gail.

  6. Not so sure about rainy-day walkabouts anymore ... think "listening under a tin roofed home" might be more pleasant!

  9. I need these old gals to come walk Beau, he is NOT happy that Nicole has rescheduled his walk about. Not bad here, been raining all night which we need and the winds have a gust here and there that is a little scary, but nothing worse than summer storms.. so far. it appears to be pulling rapidly away from us and I hope so.

  10. Love the graphic, but to me, the old gals are playing in the rain puddles.

    They're young at heart
    Jumping puddles at the start.
    Splashing support hose
    And having fun...
Giggling and stomping like a trio of does.
