it is beautiful. if this was here, it would require almost daily weeding. we have watched new comers to our town carefully outline things with shells or stones, making things beautiful. a year later, they move them away unless they are rich enough to hire gardeners. even mulch is a pain,. of course this year is a little different because the drought is killing even weeds
The path is pretty, but I would think trying to keep the whole yard weeded would be a HUGE job. That much mulch is pretty pricey. Mowing I would think far easier and less time consuming. Any idea how big the yard is? My yard is 1/3 of an acre and I had two trucks of mulch to do the flower beds. Would be interesting to sorta compare the amount needed.
Love the look - that's happening around here too although natural "scapes" with stone are problematic here unless there's some kind of barrier put down to keep the unruly and "insistent" weeds and grass from poking through!!

That is indeed an attractive and welcoming path, and will look even friendlier once it was 'bedded in' a bit.
ReplyDeleteCheers! Gail.
The path looks lovely. I much prefer it to regimental paving slabs.
ReplyDeleteI love this and the mulch makes it easier to care for than grass.

ReplyDeleteOh, I do like that! What a lovely path. I also like what I see of the house. My childhood home was an old farmhouse, white with green shutters. 🙂

That's really nice. I wouldn't mind something like that in my yard.

ReplyDeleteI love the dark mulch contrasting with the rock path. It looks very nice.... and shady!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very attractive path. The minimal maintenance is a plus.
ReplyDeletean unbroken path would be easier for me to walk on.
