My Walking Stats
June 16, 2024
35 minutes
3,892 steps
1.2 miles
Start temp @7:30am,68 degrees
Ending temp @8:05am, 71 degrees

Me, myself and my mind’s eye captured another snuggle session with Kokee, my BFF German Shepherd.  (I asked mom, Karen, to spell it for me). Once again Kokee, walked right up to me…gave my hand a several licks then offered her head for a rub.  They were at the end of a 2 mile walk and thirsty. It was a short, but sweet meet greet. EMW at 68 degrees the dewpoint is also about 68%, is toasty... I can't imagine how hot it is with furs!!

I knew Kokee was named after a State park in Hawaii

HERE

but didn't know how to spell it.

  1. Sounds like you are developing a lovely relationship with Kokee. Now we wonder about the story behind her being named after a state park in Hawaii?

  5. your temps are cold to us, we walk at daybreak, 6:15 now in 80 degrees, and humidity dripping off our faces and that is before the sun comes up. by 8 am its mid 80s' and last night at 8 pm it was 98 on the fence thermometer. at 8:15 we had the mother of a storm for 45 minutes, 4 inches in 45 minutes and I have never heard thunder like this one. it sounded like God was bowling with 10 bowling balls and they were all rolling down concrete steps from heaven right on our heads. even bob could hear it. I thought the rain would rip the shingles off the roof. it is clear now, and 79 degrees, we will walk at 6:15
so happy you have made a new friend and one that is part Hawaiian ha ha

  6. Very pretty picture that you took in the early morning. All the sudden the heat and humidity are going to be here starting today. 95 by tomorrow.

  7. Great quote! Good friends are a real treasure to have. We just have rain and storms constantly. Summer is not our time of year with storms, heat and humidity. We love winter.

  17. Absolutely love your Spark!!! Mom walks each of us for about the same amount of time. We bet her stats are very similar, just double. She is quite warm by the time she is done.

  19. I'm so glad you got to see Kokee. I left the house before six am and the temps were already mid-70's and climbing. Calendar or no calendar, it's summer.
