Happy Tuesday around Town

Thank you to our

Recently we took a ride over to Cameron Village Shopping center.  We knew there were lots of new shops and cafes.

Most days before I retired (2011) I had lunch at one of their cafes.  It is within walking distance from NC State University. I can not tell you how very very happy I was to see this beautiful mural.  It was a block long.

Now study the hummingbird carefully.  It appears he is standing but the rest of the story is there was a diamond shaped orange road work sign smack in the middle of the sidewalk.  I had no idea when I snapped the photo from this angle it would
look like a stand for the hummingbird.

While enjoying an egg salad and dill pea macaroni cold plate

Yes we went again yesterday.  They only make their famous Egg Salad or Pimento Cheese every other Monday.  I like both

  3. stunning mural! I love it when I find things in a photo that I did not SEE when taking the photo.. it does look just like a stand and I zoomed in to see the stand. I find I am liking all the murals around town here

  4. That is a fantastic muriel. We have lots in our tiny little town, but nothing is colorful as this and especially with birds. Looks like he had a great time and some great food.

  7. That's an incredible mural, the artist is amazing!

Lunch looked yummy! I sometimes would get a cold plate for lunch when I lived in Nova Scotia, but that's not something they have here in this region, at least not that I've ever seen in my 28 years living here.

  8. Gorgeous mural! I love the video with the colorful yellow and red umbrellas. It's such a summer thing... reminds me of summers past in a nostalgic way. I want that lunch! I am intrigued by the dill pea macaroni salad... I have no doubt that is a delicious macaroni salad. Egg salad is a favorite of mine too. Lovely post today, C!
