Thank you for hosting!
Dearest Auntie HiC, it is I, Kat, your first feline nephew...
Mom had just finished mowing, showering, & we were relaxing, watching birds.
We were fortunate to observe a female cardinal feeding a fledgling❣️
According to Wild Birds Unlimited:
Pretty cool, huh?
❤️ Kat
OMCs Nephew Kat
Auntie loves that video of the fledging.
I can identify with it's hunger. Auntie HiC gets shaky when she is hungry too. NOW IF SHE COULD GET UNCLE TO FEED HER.
MOL MOL MOL MOL
Lovingly your Auntie

Debby the D(R)owner dropped over 5" of rain here during the day Thursday. It rained 40 days and 40 nights in one day. More rain expected last night.
Thank you to all who checked on us
I'll check gauge later.
oh how cute!!! what a wonderful video!!!!
ReplyDeleteAn interesting contrast with human mothers, who rarely lose the instinct to feed their offspring!
ReplyDeleteHari OM
ReplyDeleteThat was a bit extra special. Lucky Kat getting Birdie TV! YAM xx
Nice to see the female feeding her young. Seems a bit tough on the fledgling to get pecked when she tires of feeding it!
ReplyDeleteDearest Cecilia,
ReplyDeleteKat's face is precious and they sure have something to watch and enjoy, as video proofs!
Oh, I've become shaky as well when feeling food deprived. Guess if I was a car, I would guzzle way too much fuel...
Now it is a battle of regaining my previous weight as pain zaps energy too.
Frankly, after 6 hours of sleep, I got up to eat a Costco Pain au Chocolat from France and I will go back to bed... Just read some blog.
Hugs,
Mariette
Those 5" or more rains are bad. We had a couple this year that knocked down a lot of trees.
ReplyDeletenow that video is adorable and the perfect cat tv show.. you are right, we feel like 40 days and 40 nights, but ours was 3 days and also its rained every day now for 6 weeks. talk about breaking the 5 year drought. woo boy
ReplyDeleteWe didn't even have a hurricane and got that kind of rain back in May. It is crazy. Now we "only" get an inch or two at a time. Our drought is history and now we are on the cusp of flooding all the time. Rain gets to be depressing after months of it. Hopefully we will have lots of snow this winter rather than rain. Be careful out there.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the video, a fascinating sight for kitties and humans alike.
ReplyDeleteCecilia, I didn't realize you were in the path of Debby, she wasn't even on my radar until yesterday, as we're getting the remnants today, with a deluge all day. I'm glad you're okay, not flooded out!
At least I hope your house is okay! 🤞
ReplyDeleteLove seeing Kat's baby bird. Glad to hear that you're not floating away this morning on an ark. We barely got a tenth of an inch up over here but I cannot imagine how many inches and inches you probably have gotten on top of what you've had the whole month of july. Keep the boat ready.
ReplyDeleteKat adores Mom♥
ReplyDeleteCardinals are so busy and animated. They are great parents. I get the shakes when I'm hungy too. "It rained 40 days and 40 nights in one day"... LOL! She was with us for three days and left some of her baggage with us!
Just imagine the R in hungry up there.
DeleteThat is such a sweet video of those sweet birdies. Hey Debby, go away!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute video! We have lots of cardinals here but we never see the young ones.
ReplyDeleteWe have had rain all week and later the winds appear. Oh yay!
What an adorable video! We love watching the way birdy parents take care of their young.
ReplyDeleteThat Debbie has been leaving lots of rain in its wake!
xoxo,
Beth, Rosy and Sunny
kat..lookin my tee good two day… hope auntie cee and unkle bee stay safe😺‼️💙🐟
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet video and such cute pictures of Kat too. We're getting Debby today and are expecting to have it rain all day today.
ReplyDeleteSweet kitty photos and video too ~ hugs,
ReplyDeleteHugs to you Cecilia and Angel Madi ~

Very sweet. I hope you continue to stay safe despite all the rain. XO
ReplyDeleteIt's good to relax and watch the birds after mowing, that's hard work. Looks like you're sorta getting a massage as well. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteMy mommy said to tell ya that she too goes through those shakes when she's hungry. Was diagnosed at 14 with low blood sugar. Just have to have something...a spoonful of peanut butter does well.
ReplyDeleteI love birdwatching too. They are lots of fun.
ReplyDeleteMaybe more mothers should adopt that strategy with their offspring...well, not until they're well on their way to being adults...
ReplyDeleteKat, are you building an ark?
Good to know you were okay through all that rain! Love your nephew Kat, such a sweet and expressive face! Also that's a great video of the baby bird, how their body shakes when wanting to be fed, adorable! Happy weekend to you and sending hugs!
ReplyDeleteHaven't eaten one of those in a long time.
ReplyDeleteYou had some pawsome BirdTV!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous video! Bird TV was good to your nephew that day. Thank you for linking up with Feline Friday.
