Dear Auntie HiC,

A limerick is a humorous, five line poem with a strict AABBA rhyme scheme, and a bouncy rhythm, making it easy to memorize. Many nursery rhymes are written in limerick style.  

We composed limericks (with a little help from ChatGPT) for Katie, Precious, Auntie HiC, Mom, and ourselves. Hope you enjoy them!

Dear Auntie HiC,

Breaking News: The Hummingbird Spring Migration has begun!!!

It’s never too early to begin eagerly anticipating the return of our cherished hummingbirds!

Ruby-throated hummingbirds will arrive in NE Georgia in early April.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we won’t be able to make our trip to Colorado this year for the spring migration. However, we’re hoping to head west for the fall migration. Fingers and paws crossed!

This beauty was at our feeder in Colorado May, 2021.

We’ve observed black-chinned,  rufous, and Anna’s  hummingbirds in different locations, such as Utah and Oregon.

I absolutely adore watching hummingbirds. Here I am, on one of our trips to Colorado, enjoying these tiny, jewel-like creatures!  I hold purr-fectly still, not even twitching a whisker.

Please keep us posted on the arrival of hummers in your neck of the woods.

Recently when Bryan was in the gym, 

I decided to take a walk in the neighborhood

The area is new to me...I started what I thought was a short walk

but OMCs I walked 1.6 miles. A OK though is saw lots of pretty flowers.  I love the feathery clouds and the blue sky

I was tempted to take a rest on this bench on the corner of Windsor Ridge and Rooksley Ct

Glad I kept on trekking I saw more lovely nature.

I love discovering old things that I forgot I had.

While rearranging my cups look what I found up on the top shelf

Years ago favorite sissy and brother in law of angel Madi went to the Pacific Northwest on vacation.  They gave me a Seattle's Best coffee cup with a picture of the inFAMous Henry one of Seattle's coffee blends.  As you see from the other side of the cup

Henry is one hip cat.

1. Happy Friday the 13th! Hope the coffee is strong and your day is uneventful.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. Ellen came up with the first two and my wonderful co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

1. My favorite kind of pie is strawberry/rhubarb.  I've only had it made by my sister in law.  Hers is excellent.

2. I will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with corn beef brisket, cabbage, potatoes, carrots and cornbread.

3. I was correct when I predicted I would not complete my poncho until fall 2026.

4. I didn’t see the need for a new dental bridge coming when I had my 6 month dental in early February..

Thankful Thursday hosted

I am thankful it is THIS Thursday

and not last Thursday when I spent 4 hours at the dentist

Thankful the soreness from 4 hours having 4 hands in my mouth 

is no existent.

Thankful our lawn guy Seth came on Tuesday for the first grass cutting of the season

He is so dependable...

According to Google Maps the distance between my house and Katie’s is 154 miles. Estimated time is 

3 hours 14 minutes by car, and 2 days by walking.

Within the first few minutes of being in her new home,

she had us wrapped around her itty bitty kitty paws.  It was our pleasure to serve at her will for 16 1/2 years.

We adopted Madi on May 11, 2002, the Saturday before Mother's Day, it was love at first sight.

Angel Madi's birthday was March 11, 2002 

Happy 24th heavenly Birthday  sweet girl.

First apologies for not visiting you yesterday.

I arrived at the dental office at 8:45 am I was leaving a

1:15 pm.  I had breakfast @ 6am no food til Bryan took me to get a milkshake at 2 pm.  My brain and body were so shaken and rattled I could not think straight.  Prep work on my bridge completed. I have a temporary bridge now.  New one will be ready on March 23,

1. Stretching is important so take your time

2. find a nice roomy spot on the floor, gently move your head from an

upright position across your body to your long lovely tail

all the while breathing slowly in and out

3. slowly move you head back to the center of your body

while chanting uuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmm

4. Slowly move your head from an upright position
touch your nose to your bellybutton
5. If you can accomplish all of the moves...sternly look at your
peoples and say NO I AM NOT FAT!!!

Not bad for an almost 8 year old Diva Cat!!
