TAKING INVENTORY

MY PEEPS SHARE SPACE IN THIS AMOIRE  (that is mom speak for chest with drawers)
Recently she was moving stuff so of course I
H E L P E D!!

I spied a gazillion cozy socks in Dad's drawer.

Then I politely asked for help getting to Dad's golf
shirt drawer...I really like his orange shirt.
Mom got a tad nervous when she saw me
doing some mathematical calculations here.
She was purrty sure I was about to jump up
to the top of the sweater pile.
Unfortunately my plan was nipped in the bud the doors were shut

Tuesday FISHING, APPLES AND JAM

Last Week while the peeps were away
I attended the Cat Scout Fishing Rodeo
with my Guy Raz....OMCs I caught a big one

believe it or not this City girl won the biggest
fish award!!! Jumpin' Goldfish!!

Afterwards Raz and I took a ride on a flying fish

All the while, the peeps were mucking around in the
mud on Carter's Mountain in Virginia looking for apples....
Crazy if you ask me we have Apples at our grocery stores and there is no mud.
I must admit the lovely aromas coming from the oven while
this apple pie was baking were wonderful. The peeps
selected a few apples from all the bins.
Mom normally uses Granny Smith but this time she used several different applies.  The pie was extra yummy.

Mom loved the creative names of the JAMS
B(lackberry) E(lderberry) A(pple) R(ed raspberry)

T(angerine) O(range) E(lderberry) Jam
Mom especially cackle at this because toe jam often
means the gunk between your toes

F(ig) R(ed raspberry) O(range) G(rapes)
We can't see the labels clearly so the above is a guess. But whatever the ingredients is is the
BEST SELLER!

Monday Mews: 8, VII, EIGHT AND Town Hall

I can hardly believe Mom has printed 8 volumes of Madi and Mom
using Blog2Print.  This is the same woman who was worried she would have nothing to say when we started our Blog in June 2009.

Sunday Scents and Sights

 They are back.....I expressed my
displeasure by greeting them from atop the
table.
(Mom says to tell you the new chairs closest to the window are getting too much sun...so she has to
keep them covered until they get blinds.  Instructions said to keep out of direct sun)

Actually I fibbed just a little I did greet
them with open paws at the front door...then I jumped on the table...after I gave mom a sniff

She came home smelling like MacGyver
the Cairn Terrier from Virginia.
All she could talk about was how he followed
her all over and slept in their room and yada yada yada....and how he would sit by her on the couch ..
frankly all the talk gave me a migraine.

They were able to leave Gyvie long enough to visit Monticello, home of Thomas Jefferson.
On Friday October 10
Monticello is located in Charlottesville, VA
It is currently undergoing a face lift
Mr. Jefferson was the author of the Declaration of Independence and third President of the United States and founder of the University of Virginia

Mom has a few more pictures she'll share...
however, much to Mom's dismay...it started raining shortly after they arrived so outside photos were limited and none are allowed inside. THE weather forecast WAS WRONG. It was wet, cooooool and they didn't have umbrellas.
Their tour guide told them on October 10, 1979
there was 2' of snow at Monticello. So rain was the lesser of two evils.
