THURSDAY TALE AND NAT'L CAT DAY

Mom told me to be cute...I told her I was always cute.....besides I'm busy communing with my 

sun puddle.

 Then she said well do something cute

so I pulled out all the stops.CUTE METER IS ON 10+ .  I Showed my gray chin patch, my folded kitty feets and my tummy all at once.

she best be careful what she requests!!

Today is National Cat Day...
Mom is supposed to tell 5 ways she shows me love....so here goes

1. Breakfast is served promptly at 6:00 am

2. 8 hours later at 2:30 pm she feeds me an itty bitty lupper (lunch and supper).  How itty bitty you might ask?  She divides a can of Science Diet into 8 sections.  I get one section hardly enough to even bother with...but I humor her

3. She brushes me every single night

4. She plays toss the catnip toys to the cat...

aka ME...after her supper again I humor her
Mom is getting good at fetching!!

5. 10 pm she gives me an itty bitty helping of kibble to keep me from starving during the night.

Wordless Wednesday

Note from Mom: during the summer we have a sunblock shade that we use on the

sky light to keep the sun from making it too hot upstairs.  As soon as fall arrives,

the shade is raised and Madi is happy.  This was her first day in her sun puddle

TUESDAY (funny) Tale: Landscaping

Let me set the stage for this tale...

The week of 10/12/15 a major, multi phase, landscaping project started here at  my house.  

Phase 1: We have some very talented stone mason creating

a Great Wall of Hedgemoor on each side of our driveway..

They had to hand dig trenches on a very hot day.

May I draw your attention to these expertly dug

by hand trenches.  My peeps have been quite impressed with their digging and stone mason skills

 This is the longest of the two walls it was about 1/2 finished 

Ok so the scene is set..you know it was hard and hot work the first day digging those expert holes....SO now for the rest of the FUNNY story...

Mom has a group of 4 very good friends 

(from Connecticut,  Oregon, Florida and Georgia) she speaks to every day via email. She was telling them about how hot it was the day they were digging.

Mom casually wrote in an email, 

"it was so hot I took them a pitcher of ice water, cups

and some Nabs....." 

Mom said it was like she was speaking in tongues... none of her friends knew what Nabs were.

The friends started a most hilarious string of emails..... one wrote what are Nabs, another wrote my husband Googled Nabs, another  friend said thank your hubby for the research, I was about to do the same. I had no idea what Nabs were either. 

Pictured below you will find me posing with Nabs...they are a staple in our house. They come on round and square and Mom particularly likes the Nekot Nabs they are graham cracker with peanut butter. I'm told Milky-Way, the one who came before me, loved to lick peanut butter residue from the Nab wrapper.

There was a Bobcat in our yard digging too leveling out the uneven ground so that the new trees/plants had a nice home.
