Saturday Photo Hunt and Update

Grandpa was put on a ventilator Friday afternoon.
It eased his breathing and his oxygen level went back to a normal
range.  The doctor plans to keep him on the ventilator for at least a week.  We are taking it one day at a time and we truly appreciate
everyone's kind words and prayers.  We will try to catch up
with everyone as we can.
Last weekend Mom prepared nearly 10 days of auto post so we'll be adding updates to them as we have new news.

Update on my Grandpa

Dear Friends

My Grandpa  took a turn for the worse overnight.  He now has pneumonia and started with what appears to be some seizures around his face and mouth.  He has been on seizure medication since his surgery; however, last night they inserted a pic line (fancy intravenous contraption) to get all of the meds into him quicker.  He is on a high powered antibiotic and they also put him on a ventilator to give his lungs a rest. CT scan this morning showed more bruising on the brain currently they will watch that until they get the pneumonia better controlled.

Needless to say my Grandpa is very sick and we would greatly appreciate your prayers.

Update:  There was not much change in my Grandpa from
Wednesday to Thursday.  He is moving his hands and legs though
And that is truly beautiful
Mom spent Thursday afternoon with my G-ma trying to
keep her mind in a happy place. They did a little shopping with the help of Kathy G-ma's aid, they had some coffee and went to the grocery story.  They had a beautiful afternoon.

REMINDER
FINN AND GIZMO 

 Have declared April 26th Blogville’s Park Day!  

That means between now and April 26th (you have three weeks!) you need to take your peep to a park and get photographic evidence you were there.  Then, on that day, April 26, write a post about your park visit, and leave me a comment on Finn's blog, letting them know you went to a Park!  We will have a random drawing for some prizes with all those who enter.  And, I have to tell you, we have been getting some great prizes for this.

Grandpa update

When the peeps went to the hospital

they were told the bruising on my 

Grandpa's brain is swelling

this is being watched carefully.

In extreme cases, they can surgically

remove it but it involves going into the

brain.  Grandpa is still in very serious

condition...the Doctor wants him to get 

as much rest as possible and be very 

still.  He has not awaken from the 

surgery either.

WE THANK EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS, SUPPORT, CONCERN, COMMENTS, EMAILS

GRANDPA'S brain surgery went just as the surgeon predicted.
No surprises. Now we well patiently wait for Grandpa, to slowly wake up and start to heal.
We hope and pray he will awake like he was before the surgery.
The trauma of the head injury, surgery and anesthesia often
affects the elderly more severely so keep the good purrs coming.
