Pot Luck Friday # 7: We live in the State of...

North Carolina aka The State of the 3 H's, hot, hazy, humid........
We only get to open our windows about 5 days a year.
Saturday, October 9th, was one of the 5 purrfect days!!!
I LOVE TO SIT on my perch in the peeps room.
You might think I'm chillin' but I'm not....

There is a mysterious being K9 outside
MY window (the gray blob is my most ample and beautiful tush).
I'm chittering and chattering at it but white and black thing won't even give me
the time of day. So I told  Casey, the stuck up Border Collie, next door,
I had hundreds of K9 friends already and I didn't need one who kept her nose in the air...
I told her she could just buzz off....and to stop barking at Mom every time she goes in the back yard.

I guess I told her!!??!!
Note From Madi:  Our State Fair Opens today...Mom and Dad left very early this morning to
attend. I expect Dad is eating a ham biscuit right about now!! BUTT mom promised me she WOULD NOT eat a Krispy Kreme Doughnut Hamburger (revolting).  YES they are really selling hamburgers two Krispy Kreme Doughnuts in place of the standard hamburger rolls. Mom will catch up with everyone's blogs when the return this afternoon.
To quote a line from the wonderful Musical Oklahoma: OK (this one is for you Mayzie's Mom)
Our State Fair is a Great State Fair, don't miss it, don't even be late!!!  la la la la!!!

  2. Yes, I've seen several tv shows which had the KK hamburger. It does sound disgusting. BUT, I could use a good ham biscuit about now. I have to make them for myself if I get any around here!

  4. What a silly K9 not to even acknowledge your presence Madi, that is a silly dog. Glad you told it off.

We have heard about the KK hamburger too and it does sound revolting. Somebody must eat them I suppose but glad your Mom promised. Maybe a little nibble of a funnel cake instead.

Have a great time at the State Fair!

  8. BOL about the five days of nice weather. This sounds like Chicago! We go from snow and freezing temps to hot and very humid temps with about five days of spring and fall. Fortunately, we have had a few nice days lately!

Donut hamburgers, sounds good to me!!!

    Your pal, Pip

  16. That woofie next door is probably just jealous of your beautiful face and friendly personality=maybe he will come around and start talking with you, sweetie (our Mommy loves the way we chirp and chatter!)...Mom does not like doughnuts and doesn't eat red meat, so she would never eat those crazy burgers=never heard of them before, but it sounds like a heart attack waiting to happen!...Hope your parents have a fun day at the Fair...Happy Friday, lovely friend...kisses...Calle, Halle, Sukki

  19. I guess you told that stupid K9! A Krispy Kreme hamburger? Blech. I am heretic enough to say that I don't even like their donuts, much less want to put a hamburger in between.

  21. WTG Madi! You tell that rude goggie!

Mommy secretly wants to eat a KK burger...don't tell anybody we told you this...

    ReplyDelete
  22. Well, how rude of that dog to ignore you and not be your friend! We think you are smart to tell him off!

and we have heard of those Krispy Kreme things - no way we would ever try it though. Blech - ruining a perfectly good burger (or in mom's opinion a perfectly good Krispy Kreme).

  23. Um, Madi, Cap'n Ripley never made it past the picture of your tush. Heehee! But I did and I liked your postie! Way to tell that stuck up dog a thing or two! Oh, and I pawsonally think a donut hamburger sounds DEE-vine! I mean, it's hamburgers AND donuts! What's not to like?

Oh, I gotta go. Mom is dancing like a farmer and singing, "Ohhhhhhhhhh-kla-homa-ah!" Sigh. See what your mom started?

  27. You put that Casey in her place, Madi!

And you got to be kidding...a hamburger between two Krispy Kreme donuts? That does sound revolting!!!

  28. That's right, Madi. You have tons and tons of doggy pals. Our kitties love having the window open, too. I guess we get to do it more than five days a year, but not as often as you might think, considering this is a moderate climate, they say. It still seems to spend a lot of time being either hot or cold or raining. Lots of raining.

    lotsa licks, Lola
