Welcome National Hockey League ALL STARS

Raleigh is all a buzz with excitement....we have been waiting for this weekend for over a year.  Our NHL team, CAROLINA HURRICANESWINNERS of the 2006 Stanley Cup will be hosting the NHL All Star Games this weekend.
I BEGGED AND PLEADED WITH MOM TO TAKE ME.
SHE IS CHEAP SHOWED ME HER EMPTY POCKETBOOK AND SAID IT WAS TOO EXPENSIVE SHE TOLD ME TO WATCH IT ON THE TEEVEES.
CHECK OUT THESE PICTURES OF THE SAND SCULPTURE
AT CRABTREE VALLEY MALL IN HONOR OF OUR
'CANES AND ALL THE VISITING NHL FANS AND PLAYERS
MOM WENT BY THE MALL EARLY (6:45AM) ON FRIDAY
TO TAKE THESE PICTURES
IT LOOKS LIKE THE SAND IS STILL IN THE PROCESS OF DRYING
IN JUNE 2006 WHEN THE 'CANES WON THE STANLEY CUP A SAND SCULPTURE SIMILAR TO THIS WAS IN THE MALL.  UNFORTUNATELY, SHORTLY AFTER THEY WON WE HAD TORRENTIAL RAINS IN RALEIGH. THE LOWER LEVEL OF THE MALL WAS FLOODED MOST OF THE
2006 SCULPTURE WAS DESTROYED
GO 'CANES AND WELCOME TO ALL OUR VISITORS WE HOPE YOU ENJOY ALL OF THE ACTIVITIES PLANNED THIS WEEKEND.

  1. Madi you are being hoodwinked. Whenever has a woman ever had a completely empty pocketbook? :)

  9. I'm sorry you can't go, Madi. But it prolly wouldn't be too awfully much fun anyway. I mean, I hear they don't even let you out on the ice to chase that puck around. Isn't that silly?

Those sure are nifty sand sculptures. Some humans sure are Most Talented, aren't they?

  11. Very exciting stuff, Madi! I'm sorry Mommy's too cheap to take you, but you wouldn't want to get hit with a puck or anything anyway, right?

  15. Hi Madi,

You should learn to be like the Borneo and New Zealand cats. They just go any where they like. Then they come home, your mum doesn't even know you had gone.

  17. Sounds like a super duper event!
    Good luck to your team!
Aand... being in front of the tv watching them is not a bad idea! It means... seats on first line and repetitions if you want them!

  19. Awesome Sand Sculpture!!!
And Mom was up early to get the pic, too!

Mom was right! Those were very expensive seats, but I bet there were lots of visitors to Raleigh this weekend for the game!
So nice that the weather cooperated for a change!
Too bad it wasn't that comfy when we were there last May!! LOL
