I'M CLOSE TO THE EDGE WITH SOME FURS
HANGING OVER.....
I'M SITTING NEARLY ON TOP OF MOM
AND CAREFULLY WATCHING AS SHE
EATS SOME FINE SMELLING PORK ROAST
NOTE ALL MY SENSES ARE ON ALERT
AND FYI I DIDN'T GET EVEN A TASTE...BECAUSE
IT WAS SEASONED WITH GARLIC AND HERBS.
MOM SAID SHE DIDN'T WANT TO SHARE GARLIC WASN'T GOOD FOR KITTIES.
UPDATE on house fire: The entire roof is gone and part of the 2nd floor. I expect there is significant water damge to the 1st floor.
We we told the family was not home. I hope their dog, Cody was not home either. I don't know them except in passing. They are very friendly young family and Cody is a gentle giant. They probably won't live there for sometime but I hope I'll get a glimpse of Cody and see that he is ok too.
Oh my... I hope Cody is okay... poor doggie. But maybe he did as Madi and went to find protection. Dogs are smart about that too. Whenever my Harry heard a bee (or a fly) he'd run into the furthest corner of the house! Really funny seeing a German shepherd hastily depart a room at the sound of a fly!
ReplyDeleteBut that poor couple to have that happen to their house. So glad they weren't in it.
Blessings to you Madi!
Ann
Too bad bout that fire. I hope Cody is ok too. ANd good grief, Madi~~Tell your Mom to make some yummy roast without the garlic so a Diva like yourself can have a smidge!!

Purring for Cody and hope that there is news soon.
ReplyDeleteMadi the Mom's are always saying that human food is bad for cats and preventing us from even tasting some of it.
Purrs,
Willow
Sorry to hear about the damage to the house. We hope Cody is okay, maybe he was with them.
ReplyDeleteThat's a really great balancing act Madi, don't lose your balance. Miss Cindi says she hears that line all the time, 'human food is bad for you'. She wants to know why is it bad for cats but not for humans? MOL!
Hugs & Purrs,
J, Cindi Lou and The Krew
PS, I know what you mean about serving on the Grand Jury. After that duty it should be a long time before anyone has to serve again.
Looks like you've claimed a prime piece of real estate on that table, Madi. If you're gonna get a treat, that looks like the spot.
ReplyDeletepawhugs to you... Max
Oh Madi, my cats get mad, too, when I won't let them have any of my meat, because it has garlic and other herbs that aren't good for cats on it. When I make chicken, I usually leave one piece unseasoned for them, but, that's hard with other meats.
ReplyDeleteI hope that Cody is OK.
Oh Madi...tell Mom to loosen up and to make some people food you CAN eat! I just couldn't resist your balancing act...I'd have to give you something.
ReplyDeleteMadi, too bad you couldn't have any of that yummy pork roast! Maybe next time it won't have garlic (or onion) and you'll be able to have a bit.
ReplyDeleteWe're sending purrs to the family, including Cody.
Sorry you couldnt have the pork but senssible as there was garlic. I hope that woofie is ok too and feel for the family. Hugs GJ xx
ReplyDeleteAfter nearly a week's absence and a sad losing of our grandsons' father, we are now trying to catch up and say hi to all bloggin' buddies!!!
ReplyDeleteIs Cody a neighbor of yours dear Madi? That's a shame....it's all such a tender life we have so many times. Hope the insurance will cover all the damages.
As for you...you 'porker'...you don't need garlic. Makes for a FOWL breath. Notice the spelling of fowl? That was a play on words....oh, dang...get me outta here, I'm a bit goofy.
We certainly hope Cody is okay! Keep us posted!
ReplyDeleteOwh a little bit of garlic won't hurt you. You should have gotten atleast a piece of that pork roast. Bet it smelled like heaven! Oh dear, I hope your neighbour's dog is fine.
ReplyDeleteI hope Cody is okay too! Sorry for that young family.
ReplyDeleteMadi, now momma needs to lay off the garlic on your portion for now on.
Madi,
ReplyDeleteMy paws is crossed fur Cody, we sure hopes him is safe. Prayers fur da whole family is on da way too.
Woofs and Licks,
Maggie Mae
We sure pray that Cody is okay. That was a major fire to do that much damage. Please keep us dated! Lots of love,Debbie & Holly
ReplyDeleteWe also hoe that Cody is ok and are hoping for a happy update.
ReplyDeleteWe also hope you get yopur Mama back for not sharing Madi...:-)
Smileys!
Dory, Jacob and Bilbo
PS...Our Mama can't spell...that should be your not yopur...BOL
ReplyDeleteMadi...you're a Cat on the Edge! Your Mom is a horrible meany. She should have given you the most succulent bits of pork from the INSIDE of the roast, unsullied by garlic. And that's what we think.
ReplyDeleteYou are on the edge!!
ReplyDeleteI can see you are intent Madi; ears forward, waiting for some nom-noms. Alas poor kitty so obviously deprived and starved got none!!!
ReplyDeleteWe send our best wishes to the family who had the fire and hope everyone is well and unharmed!
Whoa! Lookit that! You sure do have a super great sense of balance, Madi. Have you ever thought of joining the circus?
ReplyDeleteAnd, gosh I'm sorry you didn't get any of that pork roast. I think your mom's excuse was mighty suspicious if you ask me.
Wiggles & Wags,
Mayzie
Miss Madi
ReplyDeleteI hope you got some type of treat!
And we are purring for your neighbor that is really rough.
Purrs
Abby

ReplyDeleteThat's a great balancing act you got there Madi!
xoxo
Mmmmm, Pork Roast! Madi, I think it's one of those things that only hoomans like. Kitties wouldn't like it. I promise.
ReplyDeleteMadi's MOM... hello! Thank you for updating us on the house fire. I sure do hope that Cody is alright!
