LAST FRIDAY NIGHT I HEARD
LOTS OF RUMBLING, CLAPPING AND BANGING. I WAS ON MY CAT TREE SNOOPERVISING DIN-DIN PREP. THERE WAS A THUNDER BOOMER ON THE HORIZON.
A TREE IS NOT THE SAFEST PLACE TO BE DURING A STORM
A TREE IS NOT THE SAFEST PLACE TO BE DURING A STORM
SO I SAT BY WATER FOUNTAIN....I LOVE MY FOUNTAIN
THE BOOMING BECAME LOUDER.
LO AND BEHOLD THE BOTTOM LITERALLY FELL OUT OF THE SKY, THE NOISE WAS DEAFENING
BEING A CREATURE OF SUPERIOR INTELLIGENCE
I SOUGHT SHELTER IN AN INTERIOR ROOM
WITH NO WINDOWS
MOM HERE: TRUE STORY. I WAS ABLE TO CAPTURE MADI'S LOVE OF A T-STORM
WITH MY iPad. She has two places she likes to
go during a storm. The other one is 1/2 up the stairs...we call her a step-kitty. I guess she thinks if the house floods she can run upstairs.
I am so so sad about Thunder. Breaks me and MOM's heart. Thunderous prayers are being sent to his family.
ReplyDeleteMadi yet another reason you are the Mayor, you are so dang smart.
Blessings,
Goose
We has the sads about Thunder. Our "thunder shower" today lasted about 3 minutes and there was not much movement from any of us! We think your hidey-holes for storms are good ones. Do they call them "fraidy holes" in NC? XOXO from your bestest mancat, Prancer Pie.
ReplyDeleteMadi, it sounds like you have a good plan for thunderstorms!
ReplyDeleteIt broke our hearts to hear about Thunder. We are sending lots of purrayers to his family.
ReplyDeleteMadi, you are wise to abandon your tree and seek a quieter place during those thunder boomers. We prefer under the nearest bed.
Purrs,
Cindi Lou & The Kitty Krew
Adam and Georgia
My heart is broken too and my tears are running. I will miss this wonderful pup. I've heard you should go under an tree, except it's an oak tree. I think a wardrobe is a good place to hide.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely devastated about Thunder .. I hate storms too Madi, I jump out of my fur'z wiff those bangs xx0xx
ReplyDeleteMollie and Alfie
We too are so saddened about the passing of Thunder. We are praying for the Woo family in their dark hour. They are in our prayers and thoughts.
ReplyDeleteLOL we hide behind the sofa Madi. Stay safe pal. Have a terrific Tuesday.
Best wishes Molly
We are so very sad about Thunder. It was way too soon for him to have to go.
ReplyDeleteMadi, you are one smart kitty, hiding from the storm. We have been having tons of storms too. Hope they don't come get you any more. Have a great day.
We're very sad about Thunder's passing. :( We're keeping the Woo's in our thoughts.
ReplyDeleteMeow-Me is the only one bothered by thunderstorms. We like your idea of getting on your step-kitty during a storm.
I am so very sorry about Thunder. He looked like an amazing guy. Sending you all hugs and love.
ReplyDeleteWhat a scary storm. I'm glad you are all OK. Glad to know you have safe spots to go, Madi.
Oh Madi, that was a beautiful tribute to our sweet furend Thunder.
ReplyDeleteWe're glad that you have the sense to get out of the tree during storms. You're a smart kitty!
Hugs,
Lily Belle & Muffin
I was so sad to hear about thunder, my heart goes out to his family xxx
ReplyDeleteWe are very sad about Mr. Thunder's passing. So far the thunder noises don't bother us and mom and dad hope it stays that way.
ReplyDeleteMillie & Walter
We are also so sorry to hear about Thunder going to the rainbow bridge and beyond. We went over to his parents blog today and left some words for them.

You are very wise to take shelter during those storms sweet Madi. We were all so very sad to hear that dear Thunder had to leave.
ReplyDeleteRest in peace dear Thunder.

Very smart cat! I suspect she's choosing the quietest areas of the house :)
ReplyDeleteWe were so sad to read about Thunder. We visited their blog.

Our mom says we don't get those thunder sounds too often here and that's just fine with us! But should that change, we'll take your advice to heart! We've sent purrs to Thunder's family. Taken much too soon :(
ReplyDeleteMadi and Mom, such a lovely tribute to our special boy Thunder. He was misnamed as there was nothing thunderous about him, just a sweet, gentle soul who left us way too soon.
ReplyDeleteWe are just overwhelmed by the beautiful emails and posts in honor of our dear Thunder. Our hearts are broken, but your kindness is helping us through this very difficult time. Thank you so much for your friendship and love.
Hugs and Woos - Mom, Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning
That was a beautiful post. We love the OP Pack so much and are so very sad for them.
ReplyDeleteNora
We were so sorry to hear about Thunder, we know the Mom and Dad are devastated.Madi you are very wise to take refuge away from windows and doors when those thunderboomers come.
ReplyDelete*hugs and purrs*
your BFF
I am sorry to hear about Thunder and have sent my purrs to his family.
ReplyDeleteI am like you and find a safe place from thunderstorms under the bed covers. Mum usually joins me because she doesn't like them either. Eric used to sit in the window and watch the lightning. He used to like watching fireworks in the distance too.
We don't like storms much either, Madi. We're sorry about Thunder going to the Bridge. Purrs to his family...
ReplyDeleteYou are very smart to hide from the storms. Hailey - who also hates thunder and fireworks
ReplyDeleteHey there Madi. We don't know why, but your posting didn't pop up in our reader today. Actually, only about ten postings popped up in our reader today, we don't know what the reasoning is. *sigh* We are just devastated over the crossing of Thunder over the Rainbow Bridge. It is such a sad sad day for Blogville. We hope you enjoy thunderstorms a lot because I bet there will be a bunch of booms by you on Thursday!
ReplyDeleteMadi, you are one prepared kitty for any kind of storm!
ReplyDeleteSo sad about gorgeous looking Thunder with the pretty blue eyes!
Hearts go out to Thunder's family!
Hugs and sniffs,
Kathy and Molly
