Scenario: Mom about to start supper, she asked Dad to
let her know how long it took me to get to this very spot

Once upon a time there was a diva cougar cat
sleeping peacefully on her peeps bed...she was
dreaming of treats, sweets and most of all
fishes...
When lo and behold...her sleepy nose caught
a whiff of fish in the air.
Time keeper Dad heard a thump from the bedroom
and before he could say 3 shakes of a cat's tail
I was in this very spot watching and
waiting.
Why you ask? Well only two things
can wake me from a deep sleep
the smell of salmon as soon as the can is opened
or (turkey) bacon sizzling. I always always get a corner of the bacon and a good pinch of salmon from the can!!!
YEP LIFE IS GOOD
Oh Madi, I'm so impressed how very refined and well-behaved you are in the presence of fish! Mommy says we all behave like a bunch of well--animals, when we hear fish being opened up!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday! Nose kisses from your BFFF, Prancer Pie.
Yep, it is always good when we get the small bits, What a wonderful life huh??

If Binga hears the rustling of a plastic bag, it gets her attention - she knows there must be cat treats nearby (and she is not always right)!
ReplyDeleteThe best room in the house over here is the kitchen Madi when there is cooking going on or when I feel like a bin raid. Have a tremendous Thursday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Well done, Madi! We're like that, smells or hearing the treat cupboard opened...we're there!
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
The smell of cooking always wakes me up, if I hear a tuna tin being opened, I'm there before the lid is off ..Mawahwhahhwhah xxooxx
ReplyDeleteMollie and Alfie
They can't get one by you, can they, Madi? But the important question is.... did you get any?
ReplyDeleteWe're so impressed you just waited there instead of trying to trip your Mom. Mommy says that's why you're a Diva and we're not. Hrummpf.
ReplyDeleteWe all come running at the noise of a can opening and also when Mom is cutting up chicken for herself. Cats do have such good noses and smellers. Hope you have a super day.
ReplyDeleteMadi, Twinkie here. You are lucky that your mom and dad remember to feed you. I along with Freedom, Casper & Nikki have to remind our peeps. Sheesh!
ReplyDeleteMOL MOL i loved the THUMP and I actually HEARD IT in my head... Baby will be sound asleep in her condo closet and when i open a cabinet in the kitchen i hear click click clikc nails down the hall and into the kitchen... they both come when i am cooking and sit on a rug and watch. bob says if they had hands they would know how to cook from watching me
ReplyDeleteThat would wake me up from a coma.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
...and here I thought it was gonna be the saga of Fancy Feast.
ReplyDeleteI have another kind of fishy tale today...hold your nose, it's a stinky ride!!
PS...LOVED Goose's comment.
There is no such thing as deep sleep when food is in prospect...

I love supervising in the kitchen, best place to be!
ReplyDeleteMadi, that is so funny! I'm like that whenever a window opens.
ReplyDeleteWally
Around here if anyone just walks into the kitchen Walter is usually not far behind.
ReplyDeleteNo doubt a cat as smart as you Madi is not going to miss a trick...or a bite of salmon and bacon...{hugs} & *smooches*
ReplyDeleteLife is Good! You are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteNothing tickles our noses like the smell of fishy fish, we love it (and bacon too). Your dad, the timekeeper, didn't have much to do cause we think you were there instantly.

Oh, I gots to agree with you gurl! Fishes are the bestest!! And, I loves your strategy of puttin' yourself between the kitchen and the table....BRILLIANT!!!
ReplyDeleteThat, my BFFF is why your are the Diva Mayor!!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
I agree with you, Madi, fish cooking sends me flying into the kitchen to be my mom's "sous chef'', I am not finicky, any kind. She says I must have been a cat in another life time! BOL
ReplyDeleteYour BFFF,
Molly
Hey....you and I would along great. I don't beg....but I do for some salmon cooking!
ReplyDeleteMy kitties go bonkers over the salmon skin and water from the can Madi!
ReplyDeleteI love fish too Madi. Mum cooks me cod steaks in the microwave and I can smell it even if I am asleep in the greenhouse.
ReplyDeleteWe are glad to hear that you have humans who like to share their tasty treats with you, Madi! I guess you could say that in this case, your dream came true!
ReplyDeleteSusan and Wrigs
An impressive share, I just given this onto a colleague who was doing a little analysis on this. And he in fact bought me breakfast because I found it for him.. smile. So let me reword that: Thnx for the treat! But yeah Thnkx for spending the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and love reading more on this topic. If possible, as you become expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more details? It is highly helpful for me. Big thumb up for this blog post!
