  3. Hi Madi,
Gail and I are very envious of your peeps' excursion to Pilot Mountain with their old friends - it looks a great place to go exploring and raptor spotting. Who knows, if my trip to Switzerland goes well, I might one day be allowed to venture even further afield....(Gail says "in your dreams Bertie"!)

  5. We would love to watch hawks! That is an amazing long time to know someone. Lady's grandmother never liked the term old friend, she preferred - a long standing friend!

  10. I love the mountains. Friends are the best. Your Mom and Dad packed a lot into that time away. That elephant ear planter is gorgeous! We have lots of "buttie pillars" at our butterfly bushes in late September, they must be cruising through!

As my pal Merle says, these scenes are very similar to those you would find in OZs Blue Mountains - except the rock there tends more to the reddish, yellowish hues. The scenery is outstanding - and bonus on the hawks! hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx
