Hi Madi,
ReplyDeleteGail and I are very envious of your peeps' excursion to Pilot Mountain with their old friends - it looks a great place to go exploring and raptor spotting. Who knows, if my trip to Switzerland goes well, I might one day be allowed to venture even further afield....(Gail says "in your dreams Bertie"!)
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
How cool that your humans got to participate in the hawk watch! Pilot mountain looks like a gorgeous place. Thank you for sharing the photos. The head peep is putting it on her want-to-visit list.
ReplyDeleteWe would love to watch hawks! That is an amazing long time to know someone. Lady's grandmother never liked the term old friend, she preferred - a long standing friend!
ReplyDeleteWow, those are some mighty fine photos. What fun to visit Pilot Mountain. Such good views. That was fun seeing all that.
ReplyDeleteI love rocks, I love sunflowers, I love mushrooms and mountains. wow.. what a day you had.. I would have loved it to

ReplyDeleteThose are some gorgeous flowers!
ReplyDeleteI love the mountains. Friends are the best. Your Mom and Dad packed a lot into that time away. That elephant ear planter is gorgeous! We have lots of "buttie pillars" at our butterfly bushes in late September, they must be cruising through!

ReplyDeleteAs my pal Merle says, these scenes are very similar to those you would find in OZs Blue Mountains - except the rock there tends more to the reddish, yellowish hues. The scenery is outstanding - and bonus on the hawks! hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx

I saw sunflowers on my holiday as well. But every time it was Mara's sister's turn to drive and she didn't want to stop! She said we couldn't stop on the motorway! But they were as lovely as yours!
