Apparently Senior Kitties can do new things. I am at 14 years and 8 months and
Lo and behold I managed to shock the slippers off my peeps feets yesterday morning.
Now YOU KNOW I like to help dad shave so sitting on the counter is no biggy....many of my
kitty friends like to get in sinks and lick the water but I HAVE NEVER DONE IT.
I kept sitting on the counter then all of a sudden in I go...Mom thought turning on the water would
send me scurrying but NOPE I went right in the sink took a few trial runs and bang I was a sipping like a pro. The peeps have no clue why/what possessed me to start this. I don't like my feets
wet but that must have changed. In the center photo I'm standing in water!!!!!
with the water. In the right photo my nose was a nano meter from the water

Binga started doing that recently too! And she is 16. She learned how to walk on a leash when she was 15. So yes, old cats learn new tricks all the time!
ReplyDeleteOh Madi it is great that you have not lost your sense of adventure and fun now that you are a senior kitty. I wonder what you will try next?
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
Bertie.

That header is just gorgeous. That Ann does the best work. And Madi, good brave girl for drinking that water our of the spigot. Some of us do the same thing. That is such nice fresh water.
ReplyDeleteOh Madi - how cute that you have discovered the sink AND the fresh water from the "fountain of WET" !!! It's nice isn't it. I did that a few times as a kitten. Love the photos......YOU GO GIRL!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sammy
There's a saying "wet behind the ears"....but, my dear diva....you've managed to not only startle your ma n paw....but you give a whole new meaning to the saying!!
ReplyDeleteYou're keeping your parents on their toesies. Good work!
ReplyDeleteMy sissy Pigeon does that all the time! It took you this long to figure out how fun it is?
ReplyDeleteAlways keep them guessing Miss Madi. At least they didn't turn the water on when your head was under the faucet.
ReplyDeleteHow cool that you keep fooling your Mom and Dad Madi.
ReplyDeleteSince our blog is private, I will not be joining in the Come Fly with Me. Have fun with the event.
I can hardly type a comment, I am so SHOCKED that you are in the sink and in the water and also that you look so very adorable doing it. also you look fantastic in the header with the trees.
ReplyDeleteElliot thinks you are very brave Mads, Mum has to carry him where there is any kind of water.
ReplyDeleteLove all the collage pictures of your adventure. Hope you enjoyed your little dip and sip 😜.

ReplyDeleteOH Madi you found a new spot to enjoy!!! Abby used to love drinking out of Mom's hand directly from the sink. She gave Mom one last reminder of that the night before she left for the bridge and Mom is so grateful for that memory. Love your new header.
ReplyDeleteI love your header--you are adorable, Madi! That is so funny that you have decided that you like water. But I believe we're never too old or set in our ways to try something new. :-)
ReplyDeletePawsome watering hole!
ReplyDeleteYou learn something new every day!
ReplyDeleteWay to keep your peeps on their toes! That's awesome!
ReplyDeleteSo... how much have we missed? Tons, I know. I think we're going to get caught up finally today, but we'll see.
LOVE the new header!
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
I love sink cats! I am glad you found something new to entertain you Madi and it is always good to get a little more water down... :) The header is lovely. I haven't blogged in over a year and feel like I am done with it. But I would maybe like to do Sammy's blog hop... maybe I could post to Facebook. I have elements in photoshop but only use it for texture. I do not know how to put Sammy in a picture. I know something about the lasso tool and cutting out a picture... I may need help?????
ReplyDeleteGood job Madi! Your very own fountain
ReplyDeleteLily & Edward
You learn something new every day. Your dad better watch out next time in case you are in the sink!
ReplyDeleteWe have a friend whose cat likes to sit in the sink and lick the drips.
Madi, that's even better than a water fountain because you get to make your humans work for it every time you want to use it.
ReplyDeleteSo old(er) kitties can learn new tricks too:) Misty loves to play in her water bowl, so we bet she would love to dip her paws in the sink water too:)
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning and Misty
