Wordy Wednesday: I'm feeling Frisky

I was doing some meal prep...Madi was worried I would forget to feed her

so she plopped right in the middle of the floor
FYI: I have never forgotten to feed Miss Piggy

For the record Madi gets several small meals of canned food a day
*Usually an entire can by the end of the day.  She always has a full bowl of dry food.
It makes me so happy to see her enjoying her food. Tomorrow (Thursday) will be 2 weeks  since she was hardly eating at all.  Her little pudgy sides make me happy too.
I'd love to know how much she weighs but we don't keep scales in the house....right now I wish we had one. LOL

Now for a few new things Madi has been doing since she got her new lease on life....

1.  She loves sardines and is quite put out with me for waiting 15 years to add them to her
diet.
2.  Not only does she have a new lease on life she thinks she is a kitten/baby she gets several small meals during the day*, averaging every couple of hours.  Thankfully she lets me know with a wee
Mew that she might like a mini meal.  I am her purrsonal 24 hour 7 day a week Chef

I am 100% sure when Madi looks at me she sees me as a walking bag of
Rachel Ray Nutrish and a can of  Fancy Feast

3. She is jumping up and down and all around as shown here last week.
4. Since her new lease on life, she has new places she likes to sleep at night, pictured below.
No clue why the has abandoned the 3 beds, numerous chairs and couches for these new spots.
Except maybe she can has a clear view to the bedroom which lets her know when we are up.
If she comes in the bedroom is is quietly and thus far no attacking of toes or marching on bladders.
5.  Subcutaneous treatments are not her favorite activity but she is a wee bit more tolerant.  The desired dose every other day is 100ml.   Currently we (mom and dad) out weigh Madi. We usually get at least 50ml in her before she becomes squirmy.  However, we have also managed to get all 100ml in her several times.
6. She sleeps more soundly now at night; however, in very odd places:

Madi's Dad and I are proud to be at her service anytime she needs us.

  5. We are thrilled to hear Madison is doing much better! Relative to her sleeping in different places...Chloe did that when LadyBug passed away. She will not lay in any of her old spots!

  9. it is odd she has left the beds, and also odd she sleeps in front of doors, she must have a reason, we just don't know what it is. I am so happy she is eating and playing and demanding food and that you are able to man/woman handle her injections... she looks beautiful to me

  12. Madi, you've got your pawrents wrapped around your paw, just how it should be! Jessie takes 250 mL a day, so we know how frustrating it is to have to sit still that long!

  13. We're so glad to hear Miss Madi is feeling better. Our pawrents know what you mean about having a squirming patient for the subq treatments. They remember how much "fun" it was with our Angel Sister Nina.

  15. It sounds like Madi is doing just great, we are so happy for her. Mom says she knows exactly how it feels to be a personal chef, although she has not gotten her picture on the front of our dog food yet. She may also need to try a little sardines in henri and ellens food, they would just love it and then they would leave our livers alone!!! Hugs to madi....Mags

  18. We are in the same boat with our Chucky; little meals, all day long. Thankfully, the subq isn't needed, but it may be in the future. Chuck stands in front of the stacked cans of food, which is our signal that he wants to eat. Recently, we've been giving him a few kibble, which seems to make him go crazy with eating. He's still thin, though. Good to hear that Madi may be filling out!

I haven't tried sardines but if you recommend them, I might sneak that onto Mom's grocery list. Stay happy dear girl and above all - KEEP THOSE PARENTS ON THEIR TIPPY TOES! Tee Hee
