Wordy Wednesday: I'm feeling Frisky

I was doing some meal prep...Madi was worried I would forget to feed her

so she plopped right in the middle of the floor
FYI: I have never forgotten to feed Miss Piggy

For the record Madi gets several small meals of canned food a day
*Usually an entire can by the end of the day.  She always has a full bowl of dry food.
It makes me so happy to see her enjoying her food. Tomorrow (Thursday) will be 2 weeks  since she was hardly eating at all.  Her little pudgy sides make me happy too.
I'd love to know how much she weighs but we don't keep scales in the house....right now I wish we had one. LOL

Now for a few new things Madi has been doing since she got her new lease on life....

1.  She loves sardines and is quite put out with me for waiting 15 years to add them to her
2.  Not only does she have a new lease on life she thinks she is a kitten/baby she gets several small meals during the day*, averaging every couple of hours.  Thankfully she lets me know with a wee
Mew that she might like a mini meal.  I am her purrsonal 24 hour 7 day a week Chef

I am 100% sure when Madi looks at me she sees me as a walking bag of
Rachel Ray Nutrish and a can of  Fancy Feast

3. She is jumping up and down and all around as shown here last week.
4. Since her new lease on life, she has new places she likes to sleep at night, pictured below.
No clue why the has abandoned the 3 beds, numerous chairs and couches for these new spots.
Except maybe she can has a clear view to the bedroom which lets her know when we are up.
If she comes in the bedroom is is quietly and thus far no attacking of toes or marching on bladders.
5.  Subcutaneous treatments are not her favorite activity but she is a wee bit more tolerant.  The desired dose every other day is 100ml.   Currently we (mom and dad) out weigh Madi. We usually get at least 50ml in her before she becomes squirmy.  However, we have also managed to get all 100ml in her several times.
6. She sleeps more soundly now at night; however, in very odd places:

Madi's Dad and I are proud to be at her service anytime she needs us.

  1. You are taking such good care of Madi! And it sounds like she is doing well because of it. :)

  2. Madi that's THE life of a Diva... I'm glad you found the bestest mom&dad of slice earth ;o)
my personal place ist always in-da-way too... the mama is a pro now in obstacle races :o)

  3. Glad to hear Madi is doing fine! Even if she does sleep in odd places (which, according to Miss O are perfectly fine).

  4. Hari OM
OH it is so good to read how things are improved and springing lightly over at the Diva House!!! Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx

  5. We are thrilled to hear Madison is doing much better! Relative to her sleeping in different places...Chloe did that when LadyBug passed away. She will not lay in any of her old spots!

  6. We love reading posts like this one, Madi! Your mom's face on the Rachael Ray foodables bag made us laugh out loud☺

  7. Sure sounds like Madi is getting excellent care from the Mom and Dad. So glad you are doing so much better Madi. Keep up that good work. Have a great day.

  8. hahaha, I love your picture on the bag and can Cecilia. Cats, what can we say.......they will keep you guessing.

I'm so glad she's frisky and doing so well. And, also so proud of you and dad for being her purrfect servants.

  9. it is odd she has left the beds, and also odd she sleeps in front of doors, she must have a reason, we just don't know what it is. I am so happy she is eating and playing and demanding food and that you are able to man/woman handle her injections... she looks beautiful to me

  10. ♥... so happy to read this post! Happy for Madi and me because we lost internet yesterday way early in the morning from storms and I am back in business this morning! I am so happy you are a frisky girl with an appetite, Madi. Glad your Mom and Dad have that SQ fluid routine down!

  11. Madi we're delighted fur mew, and eating effury couple of hours is great - in fact I've been doing the same to get my weight back on aftur the pancreatitis flare-ups! Your mom and dad are doing a stellar job, keep moving forward keep the servants busy!

    Big hugs to mew all

  12. Madi, you've got your pawrents wrapped around your paw, just how it should be! Jessie takes 250 mL a day, so we know how frustrating it is to have to sit still that long!

  13. We're so glad to hear Miss Madi is feeling better. Our pawrents know what you mean about having a squirming patient for the subq treatments. They remember how much "fun" it was with our Angel Sister Nina.

  14. What a wonderful post!! We are so very happy Madi is feeling so frisky!!

  15. It sounds like Madi is doing just great, we are so happy for her. Mom says she knows exactly how it feels to be a personal chef, although she has not gotten her picture on the front of our dog food yet. She may also need to try a little sardines in henri and ellens food, they would just love it and then they would leave our livers alone!!! Hugs to madi....Mags

  16. Oh, Madi, this update makes us all have great big smiles on our faces. We are so happy that you have been eating so well. We are crossing our paws for good news from the vet.

  17. We are so happy you are doing so good sweet Madi, that makes our hearts smile!

  18. We are in the same boat with our Chucky; little meals, all day long. Thankfully, the subq isn't needed, but it may be in the future. Chuck stands in front of the stacked cans of food, which is our signal that he wants to eat. Recently, we've been giving him a few kibble, which seems to make him go crazy with eating. He's still thin, though. Good to hear that Madi may be filling out!

  19. HA! We love that picture of your mom, Madi!
    What a great update!
    Yours sincerely,
    Margaret Thatcher

  20. It's so good to hear she's being a Frisky Diva. Just as she should be.

  21. WE are so happy for this frisky update! you deserve all the spoiling from your peeps!

  22. Mom and I are happy as can be that you have got your mojo back Miss Madi! Now keep it - demand food when you're hungry and sleep anywhere you want to because you CAN!!! I haven't tried sardines but if you recommend them, I might sneak that onto Mom's grocery list. Stay happy dear girl and above all - KEEP THOSE PARENTS ON THEIR TIPPY TOES! Tee Hee

    Love, Teddy

  23. So glad you're feeling better.

  25. Well, Madi, you've got the peeps right where you want them! Good work! We always look for more food right after dinner. Drives HER nuts.

  26. As long as you recognize your place in Madi's life! LOL! I'm also a chef and chief belly rubber around here. We wouldn't have it any other way, would we?

  27. Madi, you and I have our mom's trained to a T. I think all we felines do. Just listen to all our furriends. No one is lacking any comfort. xxxx

  28. I am so happy that Madi has improved so much. That is great she can jump like a kitten again too ( not great for anything on your mantle though :) ).XO

  29. I am glad Madi is doing so well. She has you trained well to treat her like the diva she is.

  30. Hurray Miss Madi has a new lease on life! I bet it must be the sardines! I am pretty sure they would give Ruby and Rosie a new lease on life, too. Also, pretty sure all pets see us as walking bags and cans of food! LOL

  31. We're so glad Madi's feeling better! Ghostwriter likes eating sardines on crackers. But Dad can't stand them! He's a weirdo.

  32. Madi - so glad you are feeling better !

Mom - I'm pretty sure my cats see me the same way . Ain't thumbs grand ?

  33. We're so glad Madi is doing better. We didn't know how good sardines we are gonna demand some.

  34. I am sorry but I can't stop laughing at that Nutrish bag, HILARIOUS!!!!!! So glad a certain someone has "pudgy" sides! Love you!! xoxo catchatwithcarenandcody

  35. YAY!!!! Oh gurl, i am so glads you are eatin' like a 'piggy'! This makes me very happy indeed! I was all kinds of worried that I would have to travel across the country and show you just how eating is done! hehehehe Oh, and i wish Ma liked my pudgy sides....sigh. Wells, I'm thinkin' maybe if I stop eating, I will gets some fishes in my bowl! This is a good plan....if only I could pull it off...
Doin' happy zoomies over her gurl!
    Ruby ♥

Please leave a meow or bark for Madi...her assistant (aka Mom) will respond in a timely fashion. =^..^=
Life is short, spend it with those who make you laugh
