Today we join Two SPOILED CAT
Angel Sammy and Teddy for their poetic pictorial poem.
Today's prompt ....inspired me to write two types of poems.
If I were brave,
Up, up and away I would like to
float in a hot air balloon
Maybe I'd go to the moon.
I'd soar and I'd roar and be so excited
I might snort.......
BUT
The truth is...
I am blessed to have a party in my head.
Wild dreams often come when I'm in bed.
The places I go in my mind's eye are full
of fun, adventure and glee.
Often there is scheming about all
kinds of crazy and amazing things when I'm dreaming,
HOWEVER;
I promise you my friends
never in 87 million years would you see me
jumping freely into the clear blue sky
from a perfectly good flying machine.'
Sincerely
The Old Gray Mare
I won't be jumpin either!
ReplyDeleteMy human has always wanted to skydive! But, like getting a second tattoo, she just hasn't gotten around to it.
ReplyDeleteWe think TOGM is very wise.
ReplyDeleteMy sissy did that but my mom totally agrees with your mom, Madi - no freefalling for her either!
ReplyDeleteWe think pawrties in the head are much better than freefalling from the sky!
ReplyDeleteWell we sure wouldn't try that flying deal. But such a great picture. Have a super day.
ReplyDeleteI AM WIHT YOU, loved the poems and the prompt but Ditto on

Cute poem. Me neither. I'm not jumping out of a perfectly good airplane.
ReplyDeleteWe enjoyed your poem but we wouldn't jump out of a plane either sweet Madi!
ReplyDeleteYou wouldn't see our Mom doing that either!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs, your guy Raz and The Florida Furkids
Those were both great poems. Our mom is right there with your mom and would never jump out of a plane.

ReplyDeleteLOL... good one, you made me cackle and cackling is good for the soul!!! YAM xx
Ghostwriter would love to go skydiving. She loves to fly in a plane. But she's scared of heights when she's in a tall building or standing by a cliff. Go figure.
ReplyDeleteI also plan to stay inside airplanes...never outside!
ReplyDeleteThat was a great poem. XO
ReplyDeleteI love it! I am the same as you. You'll never find me leaping from anything taller than a chair! :)
ReplyDeleteMADI..pleez ta tell de ole gray mare de food servizz gurl wood knot due thiz either.......whoa !!!!!!!! yur poem rockz tho !! ☺☺♥♥
ReplyDeleteHa Ha! we are sooo with you on that one! Mom would never jump out of a plane!

Our mom wouldn't, either! Our dad did that a lot when he was in the 82nd Airborne Division, but I don't think he'd to it for recreational purposes!

Doing dangerous things in our dreams is much better than doing them for real
ReplyDeleteOh my Mom and I agree with you and your Mom! We fly in our minds and not through the air! A good nip toy would do the trick for me and while Mom enjoys flying IN a plane, she would not enjoy flying through the air without a plane wrapped around her! Great poem........
ReplyDeleteHugs, Teddy
...ain't what she used to be, ain't what she used to be, etc. Great poetry, Madi and Mom.
ReplyDeleteI agree that dreams are much safer! Our son jumped out of a plane and I was terrified until he had his two feet back on the ground.
