Cat Tale and Secret Lives of Letters: E and F

CAT   TA(i)L(e)
Our friends in the NC mountains adopted a stray kitten about 2 years ago.   He is neutered and has all his shots.   He is about 1/4 Feral hates inside but otherwise loves people.  The has a house in their garage with a nice bed.  HOWEVER, the snow NC had on Sunday blew his mind.
He has never seen this much snow 14 1/2"

November Reader's Digest and I happened upon this article,
"The Secret Lives of Letters", by Brooke Nelson.  Mr. Nelson says letters may be small characters, but there are amazing stories behind all 26 alphabet all-stars.
C and D can be found by clicking here
I will be sharing all 26 stories with you.

Mother Nature had a do over at our house yesterday..we received 2" more snow.  Total 9" in 36 hours.
Just amazing for NC
I'm ready for Mother Nature to move to another zip code.

  6. That is very interesting about the letter F. I didn't know that fact.
The snow looks lovely as long as you don't have to go out in it!

  13. Cats rule their kingdoms very nicely. They know it too.

You're ready for mother nature to move to a different zip code? I hope she does. Spread the snow.

Have a fabulous day, my friend. Big hug. ♥

  14. Charles is so lucky to have humans who cater to his whims! Way to go, 3/4 housepanther! The only 'F' I ever received in all of my years of school was on a chemistry class test. Those formulas made no sense to me, but in the end I squeaked by with a final 'D'. All of my other classes that semester were 'A's, so my parents didn't beat me...(just kidding!)

  15. Oh we hope all the snow goes away very soon and Sir Charles looks a bit mystified!

  18. please do not give my zip code to the snow person.... I never got an F but I did get sevearal D's. Sir Charles is adorable, my dad was Charles, and my brother shares Charles as his first name but goes by David... love the pics of this beautiful cat

  19. Well that makes sense for both letters.
Sir Charles, it's cold out there. Better get back in the garage.

  20. I'm sure E was the low mark for my first years at school....and it wasn't 1898!

  21. I also remember E being the lowest grade in grade school in NJ...

Stay warm C, that IS a bunch of snow for any month!!

  22. Sigh - it has been years since we have had 9" of snow here. Misty and Timber would be in heaven. Lightning would love to see it again.

Our friends at The Pouponette had a stray kitty, not sure if he was feral, who lived in their barn. Eventually he did get friendlier but he never came inside. His name was Traveler, and he was so sweet. We hope that one day Sir Charles will decide to come inside where he will be treated royally.

Our Mom almost went to Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA. Thanks for clearing up why grades jump from D to F:)

  27. WOW! I don't envy that much snow at all! I barely make it through the cold winter as it is!

  28. Sir Charles of SNOWDEN...very cute! :) :)
I think there's been a mistake.Clearly you got OUR snow. Feel free to send it back to our zip code. We used to get snow in the winter and now we never do. My mom is very sad that we haven't had snow for years now. I hate wearing my doggie snow boots, so I'm not sad. Behr Behr

  29. I can remember as a kid there as no such thing as "too much snow" but I see the error of my ways now that I have to help shovel it. You all got POUNDED with too much snow - obviously Sir Charles agrees!

    Hugs, Pam
