Saturday Symmetry and 2 funnies

Beautiful stone stairs near the Lake at Angus Barn

Front view of Hayes Barton Baptist Church in the
Five Points area of  Raleigh
Five points refers to five streets that come together at this intersection
This method of intersection might have been fine in the 1950's
but it is plain crazy nowadays.

Very tall pine grove outside at a home.
I sure am glad they aren't in front of my house.
Pines do not do well in ice storms

The one they call HER/SHE from Downunder Daisy shared these next two pics with me after
SHE saw the photos of Angel Madi aka Bag lady
I say thank you to HER

  1. We had those tall pines all around us when we lived in Chapel Hill, and even in slight winds crossing anywhere beneath them was taking your life into your own hands!

  2. The stone work is so pretty! Mom says the same things about the long needled pines - that they're very unstable trees but so beautiful.

  3. Nice photos. I can't see the last two though, just little squares where they should be.

  8. It's scary to see those pines right next to those power lines. Those comics are great too.

  10. I agree about those roads being ok in the 50's. we have the same thing here, when our streets were dirt, they started paving them and left them like it was in the 50's now here we are instead of 10,000 in our area there are 250,000 and that doubles in the winter. the roads are archaic. I am falling out of my chair at the empty bag. I am going to send that to pam on FB, she loves cats. this is about the funniest one I have seen in a long time.. Hugs, I know you still miss your angel Madi.

  14. We have an intersection called Twelve Corners. Fortunately the traffic lights keep things organized.

(My kitty cat cousins love boxes and bags too.)
