I would like both items... the hairdryer looks fantabulous and really posh, a nice thingy! and the carrier would be great for the hunting berds LOL
ReplyDeleteI knew what those 2 things were! My grandmother gave me a hairdryer just like that one and no, I don't have it anymore. Yup, had a pair of skates just like those☺
ReplyDeleteFrisco looks relaxed on the cistern!
ReplyDeleteI remember those old skates and the cuts and scratches I got from them if I caught my leg with them.
Hari Om
ReplyDeleteI too thought pet carrier - but would never have guessed hairdryer. Don't think I ever saw anything like that in my lifetime - maybe only a USA thing? Definitely I has those skates and I was not too bad on them either! YAM xx
That does look like a pet carrier. But I would have never guessed the hairdryer. You all have a fabulous day.
ReplyDeleteI would not have guessed the hair dryer.
ReplyDeleteI think you are right about the pet carrier, although I have not seen one like it. I did recognize instantly the hair dryer, mine was blue. thanks for laugh grand kitty... if you gain an oz you will not fit or your mom will need to buy a bigger commode. ha ha… I remember the skates but never had any. I can't skate, due to balance problems
ReplyDeleteFrisco looks very comfy hanging out on the toilet. Our mom says she had skates like those and said the wheels never seemed to turn very well.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know what either of those travel items were. My mom had a hair dryer, but not the travel kind. All of those things are such treasures from the past. Me and roller skates didn't get along. Something I never mastered.
ReplyDeleteAwww on the kitty. Adorable.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Big hug my friend. ♥
GW says she had roller skates like that. She also remembers having a hairdryer kind of like that but the case wasn't round.
ReplyDeleteI love those, vintage stuff is always amazing - where has our sense of design gone?
ReplyDeleteThe Dad knew the hair dryer but not the PTU and he did roller skate on skates like those, down great big street hills...and no helmet!
ReplyDeleteWe actually HAVE that PTU! It's the only one nobody goes crazy in!!! We wish we could find another.
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids
You forgot the all-important Skate KEY...especially if you had siblings you had to share the skates with...LOL! Had the box-ish type of hairdryer...with the shower cap....
ReplyDeleteWhen visiting the Feline Historical Museum in Alliance, Ohio last year, I studied their display of antique cat carriers, and was amazed at the ingenuity of cat-lovers from many years ago!
ReplyDeleteOH how I wish I had seen that.
DeleteI earned with shoe skates a Christmas present when I was about 12. I just thought I won the whole WORLD!
ReplyDeleteI was at the vet and a lady brought her cat in one of those carriers. I had never seen one like that before.
ReplyDeleteYes, we remember those skates
ReplyDeleteI knew that that was a furry carrier, butts missed the hair dryer! Gma used to have a hair dryer like that, butts it was more like an Oreo with a handle, instead of an egg!
ReplyDeleteOMD, Ma said she had skates like that when she was a wee one! The ones with boots were only for the roller rinks...WAY too expensive! I thinks Ma wore out a couple pairs of those!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
Oh we think you're right - the green thing is an old-timey PTU and Mom recognizes the hair dryer thingie. Mom absolutely had roller skates that you put on your shoes and tried to be super careful NEVER to lose the key which was on a string around her neck!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Teddy
Frisco your Mom is not laughing at you, she is laughing with you :)
ReplyDeleteI remember those skates and I remember them being pretty wonky. I learned to roller skate in regular lace ups. The hair dryer I definitely remember!
ReplyDeleteI figured out the hairdryer, and hey! Are those my old skates?
ReplyDeleteGrandkitty looks really relaxed and we like the travel snaps. Dad has an old PTU that he got at a yard sale but that one is cooler
ReplyDeleteSuch a handsome guy Frisco is...even when he is sitting on top of the potty!
ReplyDelete"raising my hand!" I remember how excited I was when I finally got a pair of lace up roller skates LOL!
I busted my bottom and my knees on those roller skates! Hahah! I knew the hair dryer but not the pet carrier.
