Selfies: Me, Peter Pumpkin and Mail box

from the Steep Hill Trail
This is one of the very steep hills on the NC Art Museum Trail

Just at the end there is a mirror that hopefully prevents in mid air collisions with bikes and humans

I took a selfie

Remember Peter Pumpkin that I told you about in Mid September?
Here is a reminder

Last week we discovered some NAUGTY rodent
has been munching on Peter
Well here is what Peter looked like...as the week
progressed there was more gnawing.  Thankfully
the naughty visitor has not eaten Muriel Mum yet?!

And the NAUGHTY rodent also enjoyed gnawing on our 2nd
pumpkin on the back porch.  They both were discarded in last week's
trash.

After our long hot summer our mailbox plantings were in need of a
make over.  Dad of Angel Madi, DOM, loaded all his gardening implements, soil and gravel wheeled them down the drive way.  Of course like all projects it was MORE involved than expected.
Lots of digging up of weeds etc.  He and his trusty shovel reshaped the area to give the curb more curb appeal.  He added 11 liriope and pea gravel and larger white rocks.
He is a star and gets lots of thumbs up!!!
Nice Job DOM

  9. You could have carbs that pumpkin and made the eyes and the mouth where the holes were. That's what all of our avocados look like now they all have Munchies out of them and we keep throwing we threw five big nice avocados in the trash every day for the past week and sometimes more than that. They go up in the tree they munch on it and they take out a few bites it falls on the ground and they go get another one. Dom did a great job that looks great and beautiful

  10. Your mailbox looks great! Too bad those rodents ruined your pumpkins before Halloween could happen.

  11. Maybe if you leave a 'squirrel' pumpkin out, they won't eat the others?!?
    Ha, I doubt it too...

  13. DOM did a great job - that was a lot of hard work. Looks like some rodent has developed a taste for pumpkin. Thankfully he has left Murial Mum alone - she is very pretty.

  16. UHOH.....pumpkin eaters huh? Well, we always toss our Halloween pumpkins after Halloween down into the woods so all the critters (deer, squirrels, etc.) can eat them anyway....but you have some who don't want to wait!!! HAHA The mailbox area gets an A+ and I'm sure Angel Madi would give DOM an A+ too!
