Last Week I posted this beautiful and very traditional Anglican Church
The home of the Center for Architecture and Design is directly across the street
Not at all traditional. A very interesting modern building. All kinds of textured building material and, shapes. Photos below are from the front of the building. I love this stone wall. The back of the building (not pictured) is unattractive. It faces the traffic. No sunlight an very drab color. The day I took this photo was the first time we were able to see the front. We were on foot.
In fact I find the Architecture College building attractive from both angles you've shown.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Sunday!
Cheers, Gail.

ReplyDeleteThw wall is lovely and the bldg looks like it maybe environmentally efficient - which is its own attraction! Admittedly not bungalow pretty, but valid! YAM xx
Okay so now we have two votes for the new building and two votes against because I think it's ugly. It's funny that we all see things with different eyes
ReplyDeleteThat is a interesting looking building. I like the stone wall.
ReplyDeleteI find both sides of the building pleasing to look at... I am always drawn to stonework. Love the complete difference in texture. You have some cool buildings Cecilia and your eye always finds interesting pictures!
ReplyDeleteI think it's a pretty cool looking place!
ReplyDeleteWe really like the architecture building.
ReplyDeleteWe are liking the church better than the Center building.
ReplyDeleteIt looks quite an uninteresting building and the church is far nicer.
ReplyDeleteI like the church. I am not a fan of modern looking buildings though. XO
ReplyDeleteBlogger has been causing us to say some HBOwords this week. We wanted you to know how much we liked your Seuss day post but it was not cooperating and Lady needed a break after 15minutes of all the things so here we are days later finally posting!m
ReplyDeleteWe are old school I guess, we like the traditional church over the modern one!
ReplyDeleteWhat an intriguing building! Mom LOVED it and had to go and look it up! I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder! Thanks so much for sharing, we learned a lot! And Thanks for visiting us. We hope you have a marvellously happy day!
ReplyDeleteVery odd looking building but to each their own: The stone wall is very nice.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
That building has lived up to it's name.
ReplyDeleteWhy in the heck would they put the ugly side so everyone can see??! that is SO the opposite of what Ma does...she always puts the ugly side of the tree against the wall! BOL!!
ReplyDeleteKisses,
